アンカー モーテル(Anchor Motel)

Room is dirty. Carpet, floor is sticky, full of dirts. Cooking utilities dirty. Water pressure is low . Broken door.

臨近大街，噪音太大了

I stayed overnight at the anchor motel in Timaru New Zealand, I had booked a studio, I’m a seasoned traveler, when I arrived the owner show me the room it was so small like a cell with a bed and a toilet, I commented that I did not booked a backpacker, he assured me that was not it, seeing my reaction he offer me to upgrade at a great cost of a bigger but similarly run down, with holes in the cupboard, etc, and so noisy the electric blanket worked only in one side, to add insult to injury in the morning about 10 minutes passed the check out time the owner knocked loudly at the door, saying are you ready to move out! While at lunch in town the restaurant owner and I were talking he asked where did you stay and I told him, and he said OH No! That is the worth place to stay so that say it all. Stay away.

Wonderful welcome, and farewell. Really comftable bed! Roomy Unit that had everything we needed for our stay.

Stayed here in a king studio and had a great night sleep. The units are a little dated but very clean . Very handy to Caroline bay and a short walk in to the centre. Good price! The staff are friendly and helpful. We will definitely rebook when passing through or a extended stay

The exterior door to the room was full frosted glass. I didn’t need a night light for my toddler as the light coming through the door was more than enough. No curtain or blinds to cover it either. And when a vehicle drove in, the headlights shone through the frosted door and directly on the head of the bed. Woke me up. Being a medium stature person, the bathroom was super tiny. A bigger person would have a very hard time manoeuvring in the bathroom. And if you want the bathroom lights on, ALL the lights have to be on. One switch for them all. Otherwise the staff was friendly and the place was clean with everything I needed:

Handy walking distance to Conference Centre in Caroline Bay. I was in a unit at the back and not troubled by main road traffic noise. Quite suitable for a 5 day stay. Manager very friendly..

Friendly staff, comfy bed and pillows and clean room, with good parking
