I originally booked the Presidential Suite through ******* and was told if I wanted to guarantee the adjoining room, I had to book the second room through Hyatt directly, which I had no problem doing. I called Hyatt to book the second room but was told since I booked my first room through a 3rd party, they couldn’t guarantee my second room would be the adjoining room - but they could put us somewhere in the same floor. I told them that option wasn’t going to work and asked if they would honor the price I booked the Presidential Suite at if I cancelled and booked everything directly through them. I was told yes, so I cancelled my reservation through ******* and called Hyatt back directly to book. Then, because I had literally just booked and cancelled within minutes, ******* hadn’t put the room back up for booking and Hyatt said they couldn’t honor the ******* pricing because the room wasn’t showing as available, even though I explained that because there is only one left, and I had just booked it, it likely wouldn’t pop up but I couldn’t risk someone else snagging it before I made a reservation. The lady said there was nothing she could do. I was going to save nearly $200 booking through *******, so I told her I would just wait and hopefully book through them.
