Hotel Cikada

Room floor was dirty. Breakfast very basic.. I had booked a douple room but got a twin room. Pool is nice if the weather is good. Hotel is located near ferry terminals. Neighbourhood is quite quiet. Not recomnending.

Minimal, but clean and comfortable. Bathroom is small. Very convenient to ferry terminal. Inexpensive. Breakfast was disappointing. It’s in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood, and everything in Mariehamn is nearby.

Nice, little place nearby to everything. Rooms are ok for a short stay. Breakfast is very basic. And during peak time between 8-9 the place is busy Parking is very limited to only around 10 places Swimmingpool outside is a nice plus.pool is suitable gor children Friendly and helpful staff

Despite the middling reviews, I thought this hotel offered very good value for money. The room was spacious with a large TV, kettle and coffee, phone etc. The ancient beds proved to be comfortable and the hotel was quiet. Overall sleep quality was good. The downsides were that the fixtures and fittings are tired (although everything is clean and tidy) and the breakfast is a bit basic. Overall you can’t quibble over the price.

Check In, very professional I arrived late and there was some confusion if I paid or not. All was sorted out quickly. Room, clean, nice big balcony, but no seaview (ok with me). Property: Pool closed, not in good shape, full of green water. Breakfast, Included in price, very good a lot to choose. The restaurant opens 07:00 to 10:00 for breakfast. I spent two nights here in late october. This hotel appears to have been built decades ago and left as it pretty much is. The floor in the room was off here and there, tiles in the bathroom were broken, furniture looked like something in my grandmas place. The rooms were clean, though and beds were comfortable enough. Some of the upper level rooms may have sea-view, but there are two sides to the building so if the view is your thing, be sure to request top floor and seaside. I'm sorry to say that the breakfast terrible. Tomatoes tasted moldy, bread was not fresh, scrambled eggs were watery and without flavor. The variety was also lacking. This property allows pets for an extra price.

Very good price-value ratio. Everything worked well and rooms were clean. Was nice to have balcony towards the sea and the outdoor pool. Gym was very well equipped and sauna and pool was nice plus afterwards. Location was excellent from the ferry and as well as all the needed services (bike rent, restaurants, stores etc.). Only minus is the lack of air conditioning in the rooms. But otherwise strong recommendation.

Very Average. I suppose I should not be surprised, I guess you get what you pay for. Cheap. - but breakfast needs more staff. One girl looking after the entire full Sunday morning breakfast rush - not fair on her or your PAYING GUESTS. She was told ( only what I saw ) that you out of coffee cups , tea cups, spoons, ham, eggs, oats, corn flakes......EMPLOY MORE STAFF. It 's a shame - I was quote looking forward to a relaxing stay after no travel for ages due to Covid-19. One would think you would be putting on your best service - but no I was wrong. Hotel should be about 3 stars, but the service 1 star at best.
