Excellent accommodation, extremely clean, stunning views, very high standard breakfast and dinners, amazing sea water pool and really pleasant staff.

The view was stellar. Room nice and clean with a great balcony. Parking was easy, ( for Italy that’s a big deal ). Pools very nice and clean. Staff at the pool bar were great. Negatives, they are expensive for food and drinks. One of the pool people, ( lower pool ), was on a power trip. Breakfast was great except that do they don’t know how to make eggs that are edible. Overal, great. Would return.

It was amazing from start to finish. Friendly staff, food (both snack bar and restaurant) was excellent. Their breakfast has an impressive amount of selection. The pool area, on top of having direct access to a free private beach, meant you could have your beach day at home if you didn't feel like having a crowd around you. It certainly lived up to the hype.

We loved our stay at El Faro! The position beside the sea was fabulous with amazing views of the ocean, perfectly private and peaceful. The option of two pools and ocean swimming was fantastic- the perfect holiday destination.The staff were very accommodating and pleasant too- eager to please their guests! Great location with a car for easy access to Alghero- what a fabulous. old town to wander around, dining and shopping, as well as other locations well worth visiting. Highly recommend this hotel.

Unfortunately, as the titles says, this is an over priced mid-range hotel. The best part is the view and the location by the sea. Also, the pool is nice and the staff are very professional. However, there is no value for money. When comparing it to many upscale or even mid-range hotels, this one doesn’t deliver on the very basic things any good hotel should offer. Our superior sea view room was very small and very simply decorated. Although it had been renovated (I can’t believe they have rooms that are not renovated), the work has been sloppy. There was a good amount of storage space, which was positive. What I disliked were simple things that are very easy, and SHOULD be covered in a self-proclaimed luxury resort. The drinking “glasses” in the room were plastic. The cheapest plastic cups you can get. There were just two complimentary water bottles per stay. Usually most hotels give you new water every day. There was no iron in the room and the hair dryer was either very, very old or the worst on the market as it had extremely weak power. The toiletries were of bad quality and there was no amenity set, no shower caps, basically nothing. The hotel directory also didn’t mention that they’d bring you those if you ask. Although this is a spa hotel, there were no slippers nor bath robes. We visit several spa hotels a year and they always offer slippers and bath robes. We did get slippers when we asked for those but we’re told that bath robes are for “the better rooms”. The breakfast was quite basic and the food they offer is low quality. There’s also very little traditional local foods. The coffee is good, though. The staff made nice cappuccinos. The whole look and feel of the hotel is somehow very blank and needs a designer to bring out more Mediterranean vibes (or any vibes, for that matter). It’s just too simple and cheap. The furniture on balconies and terraces are metal and don’t have any cushions which makes them very uncomfortable. The outdoor areas are dirty, the garden is not well maintained and the outdoor gym is very dirty and should be cleaned. All in all, this hotel is certainly not worth the money. Very underwhelming and the management should visit some actual good hotels to get inspiration on how to run a n upscale hotel because this one is a basic hotel with a nice view.

This is a spectacular hotel with unbelievable views. A top room with a balcony with sea view is a must. The grounds are beautifully appointed with lounge chairs and easy access to the ocean. The pool is beautiful and the breakfast excellent. There are no restaurants in walking distance but the hotel has an excellent restaurant if you do not want to drive the 15 minutes into Alghero.

Stayed at El Faro for a week. My sister and I really enjoyed our stay. The staff from all ares of the hotel were very helpful and friendly. Our room was perfect, overlooking the sea. We were both impressed by the welcome we received at reception and were personally taken to our room. The hotel had a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. We enjoyed the food at the pool bar. We also enjoyed the evening meal at the restaurant. If it were possible I feel it would help to have the more simple menu at lunch to be included to night time restaurant menu, just to get more of a selection. The pool area, the different areas for sunbathing were beautiful. It was never crowded sometimes had the pool to ourselves. I would definitely recommend that you hire a car.

Beautiful property with gorgeous beach & views. Clean , quiet and amazing spots to relax all around the property. Loved the spa as well. Perfect stay!

My husband I just just returned from visiting beautiful Sardinia. The best part of our visit was the three nights we spent at El Faro Resort. Check in was quick and friendly with the front desk employee walking us personally to our room and showing us in. We had a sea view room and the view was stunning. You are so close to the ocean you can hear the water lapping at the shore when you leave the door open (it has a screen). The room and the entire hotel were spotless! We enjoyed the breakfast everyday. It is buffet style but they will bring you coffee and teas to the table. There were eggs, bacon and sausage everyday as well as a large selection of breads, meats, yogurt, cereals, pastries and juices. Our favorite part was definitely the afternoon we spent by the beautiful pool. You can lie by the pool and have an ocean view at the same time. There is a pool bar that was never crowded and had great cocktails. We ate lunch poolside too and it was quite good! We never tried dinner there. It is about a 15 min drive from Alghero and we never had any trouble finding a free space for our rental car. It is also very close to Neptune's Grotto and Mugoni Beach, both of which we enjoyed visiting. The resort never felt overcrowded and the whole resort was so quiet and peaceful. We visited in early June so perhaps it gets busier. Overall our visit was amazing and I hope to go back one day. The rest of the week we spent and a more expensive resort in the Chia area of Sardinia and while it was nice - El Faro was perfection!
