Deep disappointment and frustration regarding the quality of service we experienced during our stay at the hotel on August 25th, 2023. We left our luggage at around 2pm and informed the reception that we will check in after we returned from dinner since the room was not ready. To our dismay, upon entering the room, we discovered that the air conditioning was malfunctioning. We immediately notified the on-duty front desk staff at around 10:30pm, hoping for a prompt resolution. However, what followed was an arduous and frustrating ordeal that lasted 1.5 hours. We had to endure lengthy communication with the front desk, waiting for a technician to arrive, and witnessing multiple attempts to fix the air conditioning issue, all of which proved unsuccessful. Eventually, we were compelled to request a room change. The reception rejected our request at the first instant, claiming that the hotel was fully booked for the night. Our request was only taken when the technician told him that they will need another 30 mins to clean the filter of the air conditioner. Although the alternative room provided was not in pristine condition, with mild air-conditioning, we reluctantly accepted it in the interest of salvaging what was left of our stay. In an effort to prevent further inconveniences, we politely asked for the name of the staff member (receptionist) who handled the situation, expecting a gesture of accountability and personalized assistance. Regrettably, our request was flatly denied, and we were merely provided with a generic hotel reservation email address. This response not only lacked empathy but also demonstrated a disregard for our concerns as valued guests.
