Great place to stay. Beautiful, traditional riad. Very hospitable and helpful host. Nice breakfast served on the rooftop. Close to main squere. Strongly recommend! We stayded in Safran Suite - really nice and spacious room. The only thing that could be better was WIFI.

My family, fiancé, and I stayed at the Riad from 23/12 -0 3/01, on arrival Monir the night manager was working. Monir was just fantastic for our entire trip, a fountain of knowledge, and devout professional and a really genuinely kind hearted person! He knew everything we asked, or was able to direct us accordingly! Monir ought to be promoted, given a pay rise, he is brilliant, and would thrive working at any London based hotel! Monir was great my older mother, and younger nieces, he speaks 3 languages (impressive)! I must mention Hasna, Kadija and Ouigden, the breakfast and hotel staff, who were exceptional, all request were carried out and nothing was too much! The hotel is based in the city centre, but on a quite street, the breakfast is plentiful and filling, the hotel is clean has beautiful roof top for relaxing. I would highly recommend Riad Ghlia & Spa due to Monir, he made our family holiday exceptional, smiled everyday, and was always happy to help! He says 'don't say thank you' Our holiday would not have been what it what without Monir, the Riad would not be what it is without Monir, he is a huge asset, we will return due to the experience we had because of Monir! Steer clear , do not stay here . We stayed in the adjoining property linked by a staircase . The emergency exit opposite our room 12 was locked meaning we had no immediate exit in an emergency which considering the recent earthquake was alarming and dangerous. The room was far from perfect , not enough bedding in the room , one of us had a stained duvet with no cover. The two ladies in reception were rude and not at all accommodating. The best member of staff was Monir, who found bedding etc .We had booked for 2 nights but changed our flights to leave early as felt unsafe.

Location was great. Room was lovely and breakfast was great. Spa - very poor and we were ripped off. 3 of us charged for a hammam which took less than 10 mins each supposed to be 30 mins then a 30 min masssge (lasted no more 20 mins). The massage we had was good, just not what we paid for. Friend was charged for an eyebrow wax by reception that the spa said they didn't do NO refund given despite numerous messages. They have refused a refund and have failed to communicate with us. Definitely do not recommend.

This Riad has a very good location and feels authentic Moroccan. But it has a lot to work with. Our room was on ground floor and we didn’t feel any privacy at all. You could hear exactly everything from the other side of the door and we had to have the window shades closed as anyone could see right in. There were handymen working outside during the whole days making noise, dust and dirt. Beds in room small and not comfortable but clean/fresh bed linen and towels. The riad looks nice on the pictures but reality was something else. The different rooftops and terraces felt dirty and not taken care of. Poop from animals/cats and used drink glasses and cans. Breakfast was traditionally Moroccan and very simple. Staff was very different, some polite and some with a bad attitude. The only time I felt they were helpful to my questions was when they had the potential to sell something.

Riad Ghali, once found, is an oasis in the middle of the rabbit warren that is the Marrakech medina. As soon as you step into its courtyard, you're enchanted by the authentic styling of the riad. The rooms are comfortable and clean, and also have air conditioning. The breakfast was tasty, and was served on the roof terrace with fantastic views over the surrounding city rooftops. I did not use the spa facilities so cannot comment on these. My only complaint, and the reason I didn't give this review 5 stars was that they added a 3% charge to the bill on top of what had already been agreed through ***********. Apparently this is done for all card payments (they even stung me with it when I bought a bottle of water). It's 2023, who even carries cash anymore?! I found this all rather underhand and frustrating. Even more so given it's a practice that is illegal across most of Europe!

It was very late when we arrived ar the Riad ghali and Spa. We waited for more than 20 min Waiting for someone to open the door! When finally someone came, and after all of us writing our information they say our booking is in another riad that they also own But very infirior in quality. We didnt accepted of course because we didnt felt safe at all. We paid in advanced 170€ that they didnt refund at any time until now!!!!!!! Stay away!

We booked the Riad Ghali and Spa for 5 persons, payed in advance 170€ and when we came to the door they make us wait for 20 minutes. After that, they said that our booking was in a different riad, also theirs. But in the confirmation was the name and stamp of Riad Ghali and spa. The one they were sending is very inferior quality and not the one we payed or booked. And when we didn’t accepted the change they didn’t wanted to refund us of our money, until today! Very bad experience! Not recommend, stay away if you can!!!
