Piccolo Paradiso is a little gem. However, it may not be for those with mobility issues or those looking for nightlife without their own transport. We booked with Jet 2 via our independent travel agent, tracey.carter@notjusttravel.com. fully recommended, goes above and beyond! Due to the narrow roads you will be transferred from the coach to smaller transport, not ideal but it was well organised. It is made clear at time of booking. If you are looking to be surrounded by Brits and wanting fish and chips you will be disappointed. It is situated just below Massa Lubrense and just above Marina Lobra. By the nature of the coast every trip or walk is either uphill or downhill. This is a quiet area and not for those that want the ability to go shopping in the evening or eat out on a regular basis, unless you hire a car. There is a bus stop outside the hotel that will take you to Massa Lubrense and connect with a bus into Sorrento or towards other resorts. There is one direct bus either way from outside the hotel. Tickets can be obtained from the hotel. Buses are cheap, taxis are very expensive. The sunsets over Capri are stunning. You can get boat trips from the marina along the Amalfi Coast or to Capri, the hotel can book for you at no extra cost.. These are good value and of course no coach transfer required! There are very limited places to swim in the sea and due to the constant boat movements along the coast from Sorrento and the harbour between 08.30 and 19.00, the sea is quite choppy and not particularly pleasant to swim in, early or late is much better. There is no beach. Massa Lubrense has a range of shops and restaurants but is a small town. Marina Lobra has a couple of restaurants and a fantastic bar called Angelos serving drinks and snacks. A family run business in a lovely position. Angelos also has a shop. Angelos is a must visit! We had a room that overlooked the bay of Naples and Capri with a balcony. The views were stunning. The rooms are slightly dated but the hotel is gradually being upgraded. The rooms are clean with towels and linen changed daily. The basic rooms do not have a balcony so make sure you know what you are booking! The hotel is used by local Italian guides for groups who tend to use the basic rooms. Rooms had air conditioning, an electronic safe and a small TV. No kettle but you can hire one for 3 euros per day (we took a travel kettle). There were not enough hangers for clothes. The Swimming Pool is on the small side but kept very clean. At weekends sunbeds were not always available, particularly in the afternoon. The reception area is very well presented. The hotel is over 4 floors with a lift. The restaurant is kept clean. Breakfast is continental and a good choice. We took the half board option, which gave 3 courses. The food was always hot, with at least 3 or 4 choices of starters or mains. No choice of desert. If choices were not to your liking the staff did try to accommodate your wishes. The staff could
