古都マテーラに位置するホテルのロビー、レストラン、客室はすべて洞窟本来の特徴を活かしてデザインされており、部屋の木製窓を開けると、そのランドマーク的な建築風景が目の前に現れます。十分な時間があれば、部屋は十分に暖房されています。スパを予約できます。古都を観光するのにとても便利です。

ホテルはとてもきれいで、ドアを開けると素晴らしい景色が広がります。マテーラはイタリアで私のお気に入りの都市の 1 つです。マテーラを訪れるならこのホテルに泊まる価値はあります。街の雰囲気にきっと感動するでしょう。次回は少なくとも 2 泊して街を散策したいと思います。さらに、ホテルのスタッフが近くのとてもおいしいレストランを紹介してくれました。彼女のおすすめに心から感謝しています。

スイートは広く、新しくて清潔です。マテーラ全体を見下ろす丘の中腹にあり、場所はどこにでも非常に近いです。

I recently stayed at the Aquatio Cave Luxury Hotel and Spa in Matera, and it was an unforgettable experience. The rooms are carved out of historic caves, offering a unique and enchanting atmosphere that blends modern luxury with ancient charm. The location is perfect, nestled within the Matera Sassi UNESCO World Heritage site, providing easy access to the city’s main attractions. The hotel’s amenities are top-notch. I particularly enjoyed the spa facilities, which include a sauna, hammam, and a heated indoor pool. The staff were incredibly professional and attentive, ensuring that all my needs were met with a smile. The cleanliness of the rooms and common areas was impeccable, adding to the overall comfort of my stay. One minor downside was the cost of some extras, which felt a bit high. Additionally, while the cave-themed rooms are stunning, they might not be for everyone due to the unique layout and lighting. Despite these small issues, the overall experience was exceptional, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and unique stay in Matera.

Even though we encountered issues with AC, hotel staff was very accommodating to provide us with suitable accommodations. Great customer service

a fab 2 night stay. photos do not due this place justice! Matera is beautiful and what a place to say. I think the room was bigger than my apartment. We stayed 2 nights and loved it. Proper wow factor. Biggest shower head i have ever seen, proper hairdryer which is unheard of. yes, there is no door on the toilet so make sure you know the person well you are sharing with. lighting in the room makes for a good atmosphere but its also quite dark for doing make-up etc. I thought we would just be able to take a swim but you have to book a spa slot with sauna etc and as it was soooo hot outside - we gave it a miss.

We left our baggage in Bari and stayed in Matera for one night, I would say this is a great choice. Hotel room is so spacious, super big bath room and shower. The bed and pillow both comfortable, good sleep there. The view is amazing, only steps from hotel there are a few spots that you could take wonderful pics. Of course don’t miss the SPA - book your spot in advance! The massage also I tried, quite relaxing and I chose the one focused on joints, quite nice, worth a trying. You may walk from bus station to hotel, it takes around 40mins, we did it o. The day of arrival as it’s 10am in the morning; while in the way back as it’s mid- day too hot, you could ask hotel to call a taxi, with 20EUR. RECOMMEND this hotel as your stay in Matera.

This started out as a girls' trip, though Puglia ended in Matera at the Aquatio Luxury Hotel for one night. This hotel was absolutely charming. The staff was incredibly helpful. This was our first time renting a car while in Italy. The staff contacted me about the offside parking to choose from. We closed the secured lot, for we had a lot of luggage and some was kept in the car. Our driver to the hotel was very, very nice, we paid him to give a night tour. This tour was amazing. Upon getting there, my friend made arrangements with the hotel staff to get her hair done, and we made dinner reservations. While my friend was getting her hair done, I took advantage of the hotel spa. This spa in this luxury cave was out of this world. I started with the steam room, the suana, and last, the incredibly large whirlpool like pool, the ambiance in the cave setting was very relaxing. My friend is returning again in the late summer. I would love to return to this hotel Aquatio Luxury Hotel and Spa in Matera for its hidden gem. Thank you to the staff Carmela, Paola, Roberta, Cosimo, and our driver. In the one day there in Matera I met some lovely people. Matera, the third oldest city in the world, is a must-see and the Aquatio Luxury Hotel and Spa.

It has been a little dream of ours to visit Matera for a few years and last week we finally realised it and made our dream come true. Matera is a gorgeous city, a very special place and what came across very strongly is how proud the people of Matera are of the city ,its history and their ancestry. And to make our visit to Matera even more special was our stay at the Aquatio which is a simply amazing hotel and hugely impressive. We would like to thank you for the brilliant service from our welcome from Pauola on reception who was so helpful and friendly to the porter taking our case to our room. From the brilliant service in the bar and breakfast room to the cleaning staff. We were very impressed with how often the cleaning staff attended to our room and promptly cleaned it,topped up the mini bar and replaced the towels and robes. It seemed that every time we went out the room was attended immediately and so our return to our room was always met with a nice welcome. This was our first stay in a 5 star hotel and we absolutely loved it.The biggest surprise was discovering that we had been upgraded to a suite. There is so much more we can say about the Aquatio but all I will say for now is thank you so much for making our stay a great experience and as the holiday was in celebration of our wedding anniversary made it very special indeed. We really hope to come back and visit you again one day but until that day comes we have some wonderful memories to reflect on in the meantime.”

This hotel is out of this world and the spa the best we have ever experienced. However we had been out for the day and decided to have a drink in the bar. On arriving there we were accused of not paying for our drinks at lunchtime even though we had not been there all day. From then on we could not get good service and when we finally got a toasted sandwich the French fries came when we after we had finished and we were charged 6 euros cover charge and not once did they apologise. We also tried to get a cab from reception and they were not able to get us one without an hours wait. Luckily we were able to get one online. A great hotel ruined by lack of service.
