Très bel hôtel,plein des prestations, perssonel gentil, petit déjeuner correct.

Un hotel con lobby y áreas comunes muy muy bonitas; las habitaciones cómodas, limpias, llamando la atención algunos detalles (como que no funciona el aire acondicionado, un poco ruidoso). En recepción muy amables y atentos a nuestras dudas. Por el tiempo no pudimos usar la alberca ya que el horario de uso es limitado (10 a 19 hrs), se tocaba cálida el agua. Matera queda a 15 minutos en carro, el hotel tiene área de estacionamiento.

Piacevole esperienza appena fuori Matera per ritrovare il vero relax. Confort e benessere assicurato.

The UNAHOTELS MH Matera hotel in Matera, Italy was a stop on our tour but sadly, for only one night. It was the most high end place that we stayed in. It boasts a spa and swimming pool, 132 rooms and is near the Sassi, a Unesco World Heritage site. It is a large place and the room that I received was very large, with wood floors with adequate lighting. A large double bed was provided which was comfortable and not too soft. Coffee and tea service,[a nice selection] laundry service, a safe and a real plus-extra pillows and blankets were all provided. A nice desk and very comfortable desk chair are provided as well. The bathroom was large with adequate towels provided. A problem with the tub/shower is that it is small and there are no decals or a rubber mat provided to prevent slipping or falling,. There is a very small grab bar [see picture] but this is really inadequate but at least it is something. The water pressure, however, is good. The minibar is not stocked but if you want it to be, it can be for an additional 12 euros a day [I think in addition to the cost of what you consume] If not, vending machines are available on floors 1, 3, and 4. WiFI+ The breakfast was comprehensive and there were adequate selections. It was a very comfortable stay and I would recommend and return.

What a great town, such wonderful views, a photographers heaven. Great restaurants, some cut into the rocks. Lots of up and down steps and stairs. You must have a guide to get the best experience. It is famous for the filming of the last James Bond film. Other places to visit in Puglia are Alberobello, Trani for harbour and fish restaurants, Leche. Loved the octopus, the red wine primativo, and the olive oil.

We were on a tour with Riviera and was so looking forward to Matera as this was our trip highlight. The hotel looked lovely and the room was okay, good shower, fridge, safe, hairdryer etc bur the bed felt like a small double. The first evening meal was very nice and we all agreed it was 💯 better than the previous hotel. We visited Matera the next day then returned to the hotel for some down time, relax, swim, sit in the gardens, but no none of that. Everywhere we attempted to sit we were moved on. The pool was closed even though it was 30 degrees C the area stank of resin giving us a headache. We found a spot near the back of the hotel by the bins. We couldn't get a drink at the bar as there were no staff to serve us. The most shocking event was at Breakfast when a fellow tourist was screamed at by the Manager to get out as she was 15 minutes early even though we were all told by the Riviera guide that Breakfast would be available at 6.45 due to an early start. The lady was very upset and it spoilt the day. Riviera get your act together because a large percentage of our companions would NEVER use you in the future.

This was the 2nd hotel on our Riviera tour. A very large hotel , modern. Bedroom adequate. Bathroom had a shower over bath , this would not stay in position & so made it tricky to shower whilst having to hold hose with one hand. We were only there for 2 nights, not arriving until early evening , so did not get the opportunity to really explore much or make use of the facilities. We ate there the first night & food was decent. Restaurant nice. Tried the pool after a day out on day 2, indoor pool was closed which was a shame as the weather was very mixed. The hotel is quite a way out of Matera which was a shame. Would have happily wandered around beautiful Matera both evenings. We ate in Matera the 2nd night, had a great meal & were able to have a bit of time afterwards to see Matera beautifully lit up at night.
