ザ ハークネス ホテル(The Harkness Hotel)

My girlfriend and I stayed in The Slate room. The high ceilings gave the room a particular grandeur. The bathroom was exquisite with both a large tub and shower. Guests have access to the lobby all night that includes a hot cocoa machine.

I will stay here anytime I go to Lava! This place was very clean. We stayed at the Pearl Suite and it had a living room, kitchen, dining room, bedroom, and bathroom. It was very spacious and had a nice electric fireplace where we played games and had their hot chocolate from downstairs. The staff was very friendly and gave recommendations. There isn’t anything to do in the town so everything we did was in Lava which we were fine with, about a 12mjn drive.

Great stay in the Ruby Suite with our family. Clean, spacious, and thoughtfully appointed. Nice staff. Small recommendation might be white noise machines in rooms to help with outside noise. Thanks!

This hotel is a hidden gem! Amazing architecture, clean, welcoming, comfy bed, amazing sheets, big bathtub, quiet and updated. It’s a terrific value for the price, you could stay at a hotel chain for the same amount and never feel this pampered!

What a fabulous surprise in this cute little town! Originally a bank built 1906 and beautifully remodeled into a hotel. They kept all the original woodwork and gave it an updated modern feel. All the rooms are different and special in their own way! Beautiful hotel!!

This is a hidden gem! The place is lovely and so were the people. The coffee in the morning was awesome, and I enjoyed reading the old newspaper and looking at all the historical photos while I enjoyed it. The bed was comfortable and the style and historical nature of the place are so cool. Just make sure you eat dinner before you arrive, because the nearby options for a meal out are very limited.

Quaint hotel with old charm. It was quiet, clean, and some of the best coffee I’ve had at a hotel. We will definitely be back!
