After reading only good reviews we were surprised about the many problems we ran into here. Admittedly not everything could be helped, but some were to do with bad maintenance. We had a leaking washbasin outlet, which made the bathroom floor wet. This was repaired after 2 days. Later, when it started raining it also rained in the bathroom, so again a wet floor (buckets didn't catch it all) and it made the place feel damp. The sofa/bed was very uncomfortable as a sofa, mainly because it was busted with some wood sticking in your back in one place. One evening we woke up with a shock because of the fire alarm. A guest was cooking and set it off. He was struggling to turn it off after he got instructions through WhatsApp from the owner. Other guests all came out if the rooms not knowing what to do. Not the owners fault of course, but the owner was never on the premises, so when there are problems, you have to WhatsApp the owner for answers. Sometimes the water pressure was so low that we hardly had any water. The owner told us to turn the electric of and back on to make the water pump work. On the upside, the bed and pillows were very comfortable. We had a great roof terrace with a nice view. The television had many international channels. The cleaner is very friendly. The location is good, but Rabat is small, so most places are central and near Mdina.

We had a great stay at the Maleth Inn. It's in a perfect position, a stone's throw from the main gate of Mdina and also just around the corner from the main street of Rabat. The room is lovely, it was very helpful to have a kitchen when staying with our baby and it was nice to be able to step out into the little terrace/balcony in the morning and see the world go by. The owner was lovely and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

There was a small issue with the air conditioning that has was handled and resolved immediately . Great customer service !

No complaints. The building is older, but the accommodations were very well kept up and tastefully decorated. Beautiful view of the Rabat area, and adjacent to a nice outdoor cafe. The shower was a little cramped, but that is simply the design. The owner was quick and responsive, even as our check-in plans changed. Would definitely recommend.

We had an excellent stay! The guest house has an ideal location, only steps away from the Mdina gates. It has an incredible view and our room got to enjoy the roof, with a full view of Mdina. The bathtub was deep and wonderful. We lucked out with Peking, but it could be tricky when it is busy. The champagne for decoration was disappointing (thought it was a gift from the host), but the location more than made up for it!

The guest house is ideally located for those who want to be in central Malta, using the public BUS for transport. The room had a lot of personality, "boutique hotel style", with the added bonus of a small kitchenette. It was very clean and comfortable. It is really close to Rabat town center and to M'dina (so that you can visit those two towns by walking), and its very close to the main bus station stop in Rabat, allowing you to take buses both west or east of the island.
