B&B ホテル メヘレン(B&B Hotel Mechelen)

A pretty basic 3 star hotel, that's nicely located between the train station and the city centre. The rooms are compact, neat and clean. The personell is friendly and helpful. Prices are reasonable, so this is good value for money!

After some thought about whether it was worth writing this review in a public space, I decided to do so. I am a tour guide for a group and on April 4, early in the morning at 5:45 am, I had to leave the hotel with a group of 35 people. I ordered a lunch box in advance for the whole group. When I arrived at the reception early in the morning, I met a hotel employee. she asked how many people were in the group and went to the kitchen to prepare a lunch box. by this time breakfast was served and absolutely open to everyone. I was busy waiting for the bus and when I was convinced that it was in the parking lot I returned to the hotel. I was met by a hotel worker and she said with an angry face - Why do your people have breakfast and take food? Lunch boxes have been prepared for you and you do not have to eat a regular breakfast. The lunch box consisted of a small bun and two pieces of sausage. When I reasonably noted that we have breakfast included and there is nothing wrong with people eating a little more than you gave in the box, the answer simply amazed me. The hotel worker said the following - Your group behaves like stupid animals! This is simply impossible to believe, but I have witnesses who can confirm this statement. I think that this employee should answer for her absolutely unacceptable statement. Thank you

We had a pleasant stay with a group in this hotel. The building was new and close to the trainstation and city center. There was coffee/tea and water and the lobby all day long which is convenient. Probably will stay again if visiting Mechelen again.

The room was small, but clean. Parking gate was broken so that was a small issue

Super clean and new place! And closest to the train station while still being walkable to the city center. And a breakfast that is superb. Most hotels would charge €30 for that breakfast that was given with the room. 5 stars all the way.

Almost brand new hotel, but a water leak meant access to the underground carpark was difficult. No tea/coffee in the room but there was a machine in reception available 24/7. Rooms were new, clean and comfortable. The area was quiet in a small town, but was ok.

This hotel near the Station of Mechelen was a great discovery. The rooms are stylish, modern and spacious. I have a very sensitive back and could sleep very well. The breakfast buffet is well-assorted with goat cheese, abbey cheese and fresh bacon. The scrambled eggs and fruit salad are top notch. It is excellent value for the price.

The hotel is brand new and we could feel and smell it :-) Rooms are bright and spacious; hotel 5 mn walking distance from train station and center ; amazing staff; super nice decoration. Will definitely stay there again!
