Absolutely sensational stay with Santani. The location and architecture is breathtaking, glorious views everywhere you look. Service absolutely 5*, and the food and chefs are a delight. Also recommend the yoga (included) and sunrise guided hike up Pettigala Rock. Thank you Santani!

Santani is a retreat from all the stresses of daily life. It’s pretty remote and takes a while to get there but when you do, you’ll find that it lives up to its billing. We stayed for two nights at the end of a 2 week tour around Sri Lanka and found it to be an oasis of calm. The staff are delightful, the food is excellent and the setting very special indeed. We did encounter a fairly major problem whilst we were there but the management were really proactive and sorted it out both quickly and graciously. If only all hotels could get it right the way Santani does!

We loved Santani. The situation of the hotel is stunning - amazing 360 degree views. We had fantastic yoga practice morning and evening, and I had the best massages ever with Pradeep - incredibly talented. Finally, the food was unbelievable - the best hotel food I’ve ever experienced - different 4 course menus every day.. The chef deserves a Michelin star. I’m already thinking of booking a longer stay for next year.

Santani was incredible ❤️ we were immersed in nature, started and ended the day with the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Yoga and 5 star meals. The daily wellness treatments were Devine. Sashi was one of the brilliant service providers but all staff were incredibly accommodating and kind. I would highly recommend Santani as a place to visit ❤️❤️❤️

Here you can disconnect from the rest of the world whilst being rejuvenated and pampered from morning till evening. The meals are to die for and the service is extraordinary (special thanks to Sashi and the rest of the team - he really went out of his way! ). I will definitely recommend this place to both my clients and friends!!

Santani is a real fairytale of a place - and I wish we could have stayed longer. The rooms and the views out over the mountains were simply out of this world. Couple that up with a remarkable team in both the spa (try the ajuverdic massages!) and the kitchen (the food was sublime) and you have a first-class experience. The grounds were immaculate and the infinity pool so lovely at the end of a hot day. We loved it - and hope to return one day.

We had a magical trip filled with relaxation, the most amazing food and a unique place that has stayed a wonderful memory. We were touched by the care and thoughtfulness of the whole team… from the extraordinary chef down to the charming waiters, and the wellness team. Every day we were greeted with a smile by staff that made us feel so welcome and cared for. Thank you, Shashi for recommending the spice store , we are still cooking Sri Lankan cuisine inspired by the outstanding chef !! We are still thinking back to our magical time and the healing we experienced. We will be back and can only recommend this magical place.

We stayed at Santani for 4 blissful nights. We were greeted on arrival by Sashi, one of the members of staff, who was delightful, as was everyone we came across here. It is in a beautiful setting and sits lightly in the landscape, and is both eco and health conscious. It is surrounded by a tea plantation and jungle. Our room had a magical view of the hills. It was a place where you could just sit and immerse yourself in the views, the peace and calm. The food was delicious and the staff couldn’t do enough to serve you what you wanted. We did yoga twice a day which was great. We didn’t feel the need for a private lesson. However, we did have a massage which was truly wonderful! I couldn’t rate this place highly enough as a place to rest and relax as part of your trip exploring this magical country. But it is the staff that made this such a perfect place!

The road heading to the resort is rough and steep but the minute I reached the resort & found its beauty I forgot how much scary the road was! We were welcomed at the reception and then headed to our rooms. The mountain view room is spectacular and the service is outstanding as well. The hotel had some free activities and I took the river walk and it was another gem! The food is so tasty and it comes in set menue with some options. The spa had excellent ayurveda treatments out of which i tried two during my 2 nights stay with the great Dippa. I will definitely recommend this place. Big shout out to Dilshan, Prasanga, Suresh, Vijay & Oshi.
