Super 8 by Wyndham Metairie

I checked into this property Thanksgiving night. The next day I was unable to get into my room. I assume my key was demagnetized. To my surprise the rude male front desk agent stated I wasn't in his system. I removed my sunglasses and asked " Do you not remember checking me in?" He stated yes and claimed he couldn't manipulate the system and that I was not a guest there and my reservation had been canceled. I called Wyndham Customer service, she called the property and the agent told her I was a no call no show and she asked how was I charged he stated they take the full amount for not showing up. I explained this is a lie. How was I able to obtain keys to the room and receipt if I never showed up ? STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL AND LOUD CLUB ACROSS THE STREET. THIS PLACE IS FRANCHISED OPERATED . I'm not even sure why Wyndham have these people under their umbrella. They don't meet the standards with their slight surface renovations. The owners live on property yet couldn't come down to explained why was my reservation canceled, a new one couldn't be made, or a recommendation to another property. Wyndham said its nothing they can do pitiful! 3 lies told; I'm not in the system, reservation canceled, and no call no show. Stay away! The name doesn't even read Fairbridge garbage. A lie from the beginning and to think being Hindu he constantly calls on the name of Jesus! Call me and explain how do I have receipts and key cards with your property name?

I sent pictures and requested a refund due to, not able to take a bath/shower, only a wash off due to water very slowly drains from bathtub and black gravel-like debri came up the drain and remained in the tub after water finally completely drained from the tub. I placed the DO NOT Disturb sign on my door each day but the cleaning staff went in my room the 1st day when I left the room, removing towels & bath rug from my room and left the curtains open. then the next day sign remains on the door and they still attempted to enter the room while I was sleep. I notified the man at the front desk both days and the woman upon my departure on the 3rd day. The man reported he submitted a claim for someone to come and fix the tub---NO ONE EVER CAME!. IT WAS A NIGH**ARE OF A STAY!, especially after having an emergency at my home--which is the reason I had to get a hotel. I was not informed that breakfast was available.

Great room for the price just what I was looking for. The room was clean and modern bed was comfortable. Location was excellent to getting around and was located near anything you could want easy access to interstate.

They didn’t work so they put 2 electric heaters in the room. They were supposed to switch our room but instead said they works give us another electric greater which they didn’t then the power went off and only to that room. Finally switched our room @12am after waiting 2 1/2 hours for the electrician

Don’t stay there, this place is disgusting and the staff just walk into your room without knocking or notice at 6am the room smelled like cat urine and the tub wouldn’t drain, half of the outlets weren’t working and the blow dryer was off the wall also not working, the walls were smeared with who knows what. Dirty dirty dirty!

Check in was horrible. Super 8 did not have our reservation and the employee said we are full and I dont see your reservation. It took 20 minutes to finally find our reservation and then he put us in an occupied room which startled the occupant. The front desk emplyee finally found a smoking room eith ashtrays though we asked for nonsmoking. He also did not put us in a king sized bed room but one with double beds. The front desk clerk never took responsibility for anything.

Overall stay was ok. The door didn’t close fully and the tub didn’t drain. Aside from hearing everything outside it was worth it

I found this property to be very nice and convenient. You can tell they are doing some work to better the place, which i'm sure isn't easy with the certain rudely guest they have but the rooms were very nice and clean, had an elevator to the 3'rd floor which was convienient to me though you can tell the guest like to trash it. I felt safe there because the property is very well lit at night and front desk and maintenance people around the property were very nice and respectful . I will definitely be back in the future and i think this place is coming along very good and they need to keep on the path they are going and hopefully in the future they will have guest to respect the property because i think this place has a lot of potential. Thank you for the wonderful experience on my 2 days staying there.
