I have stayed in many Travelodges. Sometimes because they are near a motorway, or a busy road, I don't get the best of sleeps. This is where the Middlesbourgh Travelodge was better, was not on a main, or a busy road. I had probably my best sleep in this Travelodge.

Because the TV in our room was not working and had been disconnected from the mains power supply and the aerial had also been disconnected, I summised the TV may have not been working for some time. There was absolutely no wifi signal making it impossible to log on. So we did enjoy looking at the walls but luckily my wife had bought a book with her to read.

I have to stay at this hotel sometimes for work when there is no other option available, otherwise I avoid it. It is always a poor experience, sometimes worse than others. The staff are generally unhelpful. Last time I stayed here I was first given a room that was not cleaned or prepared, and then the second room I was given had no shower curtain. Sometimes the mugs in the room are not clean. Wi-Fi is not free. The walls are paper thin. I could go on!

Nice clean rooms, friendly staff and good value for money. Not a great selection of beers at the bar but breakfast was nice and only £9.99.

Very noisy, very rude staff, car park not safe and when it came to check out the guy behind the counter had his feet up on his phone and just grunted, very disappointing

Great experience, very warm welcome when checking in. Jess checked me in and was very cheerful and helpful, she’s an asset to the team! Very clean room and the bed is very comfortable. Will definitely be returning. Great service, can’t recommend this place enough.
