パンタイル ロッジ(Pantile Lodge)

This was our second stay at Pantile Lodge. We received a friendly welcome, the room was warm and comfortable with the usual treat of a box of 'goodies' for us to fight over. The outstanding substantial breakfast was 100% quality ingredients. What more could you want? As an added bonus the Red Lion 'pub' just across the road from Pantile Lodge serves good food (and an excellent pint of Guinness!) for an evening meal.

Highly recommended. Super, spacious room, big, comfortable bed, lovely shower. Would definitely stay again. And the cafe which is owned by the same folk is amazing! Prepare yourself for a superb breakfast and the warmest Scottish welcome.

I work away during most of the week which means hotel stays every night all over the UK, luckily enough my management booked me into pantile lodge for the night and all I can say is absolutely amazing, I got checked in by a lovely lady who explained everything to me and even went out of her way to make arrangements for me to have an early breakfast delivered to my room now this is what I class as excellent customer service, ambient environment and nothing around here can beat an over night stay like pantile lodge, would highly recommend. Keep up the good work guys and thank you for your hospitality.

Husband and I have just had a night at the Pantile Lodge and everything was just perfect. From the moment we arrived the staff were so welcoming and friendly. There are only two rooms with their own private garden. Lovely garden furniture and pretty pots of flowers. The room was perfect. Very comfy sofa for lounging, decorated beautifully with nice soft furnishings. Decent sized bathroom with toiletries. The tea and coffee station was well stocked. Coffee machine with a variety of coffee pods and fresh milk in the fridge. Breakfast was delicious and set us up for the day as it was plentiful. Highly recommend this place and to be sure if we are in the area again would certainly return. Keep doing what you are doing because we couldn't fault a thing. Thank you.

Very good value for money considering the size of the room and the extensive breakfast menu. All staff make you feel very welcome. Nice bath towels, shower products, a generous in room tea tray, hanging and drawer space for more than 1 night if you need it. The room was pretty and the shower room was functional and very clean. Well maintained grassed outdoor area with summer bedding. Very generous breakfast of quality and served with a smile and friendly chat. Will stay again.

Lovely room with a proper coffee maker, lovely decor, private entrance to the room. Breakfast was absolutely lovely in the cafe joined to the lodge. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a night away.

Lovely well decorated room only let down by the bed very hard and the springs pinged when you moved, spotlessly clean and breakfast was fabulous. We stayed after a visit to bamburgh castle not realising it was so far from it we visited the pub acroos the road for a couple of drink and had dinner in berwick.

Friendly owners, loved the extras in room ie fentimans drinks and KitKats.Super comfy bed too.

Have stayed before and had a wonderful night there so wanted to come again. Good stopover for us on way up to Scotland. Also if you want to go to Holy Island it's only a short journey to the coast.This time facilities were given a 4 out of 5 only because the sink had a crack in it and the shower was very slippery however sure these will be rectified. Bed very comfy, room very large with sofa and seating at end of bed. Tea, coffee, water, biscuits and a Nespresso machine provided. Also a fridge if you want to put in cold drinks. Outside area very private with chairs, tables and now 2 sunbeds. If we could have given a 10+ to our host we would have done The lady who runs it cannot do enough for you and is so friendly and very welcoming and easy going. Breakfast menu great (and included in price) but beware full English is huge; ended up taking my two sausages and some toast away for my lunch and were even given a box to put it in. It's not quantity over quality though IT'S BOTH - gorgeous food!! We're not early risers and breakfast is up to 11am with checkout at 12. Honestly what more could you ask for? If you book through the hotel it is cheaper than going through a 3rd party site. If you want an evening meal (cafe closes at 5) go to the Red Lion opposite the Pantile. They do good food and definitely more than "pub grub" Best to ring as sometimes they get busy but other times if it is quiet they stop serving a bit early. Otherwise evening food is a drive away. If you are looking for excitement and nightlife don't stay in this area but if you want peace, comfort, a great cafe and a good pub dinner stay here.
