Heran and Rasheda welcomed us at the check in counter and were so welcoming and informative. They helped us navigate our evening and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. Rooms were beautiful and the rooftop bar and hot tub were incredible! Will be back.

The front desk staff (Trey, Heran, and Domo) were very friendly and super fun. Our questions were answered promptly and special requests fulfilled beyond expectations. The rooftop sauna, pool, and lounge are an extra treat, especially during a MN winter. The North Loop location is perfect for dining or barhopping, and an easy walk to just about anywhere downtown Mpls.

The hotel itself is great! Drinks and food at the restaurant and rooftop bar are absolutely incredible! My only complaint is the valet parking. My car was basically ransacked while in their care. It’s just very disheartening when you stay at a nice place and believe valet parking is the better and safer option. I had nothing of value in my car but I’m sure if I did it would’ve been stolen.

It was an absolute joy!!! to stay here and a great area to explore!! The food (we ate here for dinner and breakfast) and ambience were super!!!!

Historic downtown Minneapolis Hotel. warehouse architecture expertly converted into rustic style rooms and public spaces. good breakfast restaurant space and great Sunday brunch. We stayed in king with views out towards the city, comfortable bed and great bathroom shower. Rooftop bar has great City views. Located near to the Gateway Park. Well located if you want to catch a Twins game or try out Owamni by The Sioux Chef. When we stayed there was a wedding party which meant the rooftop pool and bar and main ground floor bar area were very busy.

Our four-night stay at The Hewing was just okay. While the location was convenient and in a cool area, and the staff were friendly, I wouldn't choose to stay here again. Unfortunately, the downsides outweighed the positives. Our king-bed room faced an alleyway, offering almost no natural light. The room felt consistently dark and a bit depressing. We inquired about moving to a brighter room after our first night, but were told it would cost an additional $25 per night, which we declined. The room itself was adequate but showed signs of age. One of the main reasons we booked this hotel was for the rooftop pool. While its small size wasn't an issue, the complete lack of umbrellas or any shade meant we skipped the pool altogether due to the 90-degree heat and full sun. Additionally, only one elevator was operational throughout our entire stay, which was a pain, especially during busy weekend nights when the rooftop bar was busy.
