F & F ヴィラ - フローラ アンド ファウナ(Flora and Fauna Mirissa)

Located just across the road from the Main beach this place nestled in a grove was the best thing we picked. We walked in and were lucky to get a sea facing room with AC. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and well done up with tea arrangements. A wonderful balcony faces the main beach of Mirissa. Nissan restaurant nearby on the beach was a great place for lunch. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place to anyone.

Spent a very disappointing night in this small hotel in the centre of Mirissa. The description of the room was nothing like the reality - the so called patio was part of the public reception area and the view of the garden was a view of a wall. The room was clean and had air conditioning but had no furniture apart from a bed, small table and fridge and was full of mosquitos, probably because a very dirty brackish river runs through the garden. The bathroom had a small high up widow onto the reception area which meant you could hear everything going on all night. My friend had booked a sea view room but was given a dark and dirty room in the garden. We decided not to have breakfast on site although it was included. The only good part was the man working on reception who did his best to help us.

Very Nice place! Friendly helpfull staff. Especially Pasan. Clean room, Nice breakfast. Recomend. Close to the Beach and restaurangs, yoga and massage. The jingel wiew for yoga and sekret root for massage and ayurveda doktor. Just Come here and you Will have à good time

Exactly what a guesthouse should be. Sam and his wife are very helpful and friendly. It is well located at the same time as being relaxed and somehow quiet. The room we stayed in was lovely - bright and airy. If you’re looking for something that is not too expensive, but makes you feel at peace, this is the place.

This place was HORRIBLE!! The WORST PLACE I HAVE BEEN TO! The staff are ABSOLUTELY RUDE and unwelcoming! The rooms are barely average. They do not care about service and do not care about their guests. The staff was clearly communicated with about check out timing and when I returned from Whale watching, my bags and belongings were OUTSIDE! I could not believe it. How could they handle my personal belongings without my permission! When me and another guest who was checking out, confronted them about this they were SO RUDE, the lady told the guest to “Go to hell” and insulted them badly! This is the worst experience I have ever been through around the world and I hope no one experiences this! DO NOT GO THERE!!!

This was the worst experience ever. We spent 12 days in Sri Lanka, we have been in great places and met beautiful people, but our stay in Flora and Fauna was bad from the beginning. We had to wait to enter our room because they said us that there was a problem in our room (they didn’t specify what was the problem, but we saw a guy going up in our room with a spray/cleaning product). Once we entered the room we couldn’t believe to our eyes and nose: the room (canal view) was smelling very bad (like sewers), it was full of mosquitos (we have never seen so many mosquitos in one day), the mosquito nets were dirty and with a lot of holes, the bedsheets had big stains everywhere, the big bed had a very big spiderweb on the upper part, the rugs on the floor were dirty and surely not changed before our arrival, the mirror in the bathroom was dirty and full of stains of soap and toothpaste before our use, the windows in the bedroom and bathroom was super dirty. The entire aspect of the room was poor and absolutely dirty from all points of view. I had to put a towel on top of my side of the mosquito net because, during the night (I guess due to the animal walking on the external part of the roof) a lot of dust and pieces of wood felt down in my face. As there was a mosquito repellent device in the room but the plate was old and used, we asked at the reception if they had a new one and they told us that they never saw that kind of plates and they didn’t worried about the fact that we had the room full of mosquitos. The only thing we wanted during the 2 nights we spent there was that the time passed fast. We don’t recommend this place.

If you want to be near to the beach or to the nature this is the best place is for you. The staff is kind and flexible. And the dog, Alex is so cute. I recommend this acvomodation for everyone. Near the hotel you can find tuktuk everytime.

Flora and Fauna guesthouse is located very close to the beach of Mirissa. The people were friendly and helpful, the breakfast was delicious and the rooms were comfy. We really enjoy our stay there and especially the nice view on the beach.

Hotel - Beautiful view, right next to the beach. We met the nicest people here, they helped us with everything we needed and beyond - trips, transport, covid testing...and with a smile on their face every time. Very nice room and great service. Food - Fresh fish and seafood every day, homemade juice, breakfast with the most delicious fruit a classic continental breakfast so everyone will be satisfied. Next time I wouldn't stay anywhere else.
