We spent three wonderfully comfortable days at Kasai Village. Tucked a bit off the main path, the resort is just a five-minute tuktuk ride from the next town. It feels personal and welcoming, with a small, warm-hearted team of about 20 staff who do their best to fulfill any special requests. Our sea-view room was peaceful and quiet; although the bed was on the firm side, I slept excellently. A nice touch was the removable showerhead and decent water pressure, which made everything more convenient. A highlight is the large pool, about three metres deep at its lowest point – perfect for practicing skills or testing underwater camera gear. The dive center is well organised and relaxed, with small, manageable groups and no “cattle diving”. If you want, the crew will even assemble your equipment for you – while Nitrox analysis is, of course, done by yourself. Our guiding with Jia was outstanding: calm, attentive, and with a great eye underwater. Allen was also consistently helpful and courteous. Briefings were clear and to the point, and buddy checks were left to the divers themselves – which suited me well as a diving instructor and trained solo diver. I do hope beginners pay extra attention to proper buddy checks and team routines. Whether you are a recreational or a tech diver, you will get your money’s worth. The dive sites are just a short boat ride away, and the house reef (Kasai Wall) is genuinely strong. The night dive was fantastic. The Sardine Run was a truly unique experience. At times the sardines were so dense that visibility dropped to the point where you could barely see your own group – simply because a massive school had moved right between you. Between dives, there are tea, coffee, and snacks like watermelon, bananas, or cookies. Breakfast was excellent too: included, freshly prepared, and really delicious. Just plan for around 20 minutes – there is no buffet, but everything comes fresh to your table, which we appreciated. And a small but memorable extra: fresh coconuts are delivered straight from the palm. In conclusion, Kasai Village is a personally run resort with a very well-organised dive center, a relaxed schedule, and great dive sites. We would definitely come back.

The hotel is a small one with very welcoming and accommodative staff . We stayed for one night and wished we could stay more . The food is excellent and they made excellent vegetarian food for us . Rooms have hot and cold water and the seaside rooms have a beautiful sunset view and a balcony to sit and view the same. There is a long jetty right into the ocean which has excellent breeze and view.

Location: Kasai Village Dive Resort, Cebu-Moalboal, Philippines After traveling through the Caribbean, I made my way to the Philippines for a solo dive trip to Cebu-Moalboal in February 2025. I stayed at Kasai Village Dive Resort, located south of Cebu International Airport. The resort is a bit of a drive away, approximately 2 to 4 hours, due to traffic from Cebu to Moalboal. That said, the resort offers an excellent service where they can arrange a driver to take you to and from the airport, making your trip relaxed and stress-free. The resort is nestled north of Moalboal, right next to Panagsama Beach, offering a serene, tropical atmosphere. The location is convenient for exploring the area, with easy access to local attractions. The resort offered a quiet peaceful vibe and I appreciated being just a short tuk-tuk ride from the Panagsama Beach and the restaurants and nightlife. Vehicles & Transportation Parking at the resort is free. However, unless you're familiar with driving in the Philippines or Southeast Asia, I personally wouldn’t recommend renting a vehicle. The road size/conditions can be unpredictable, and you’ll need to navigate where to park, tuk-tuks, motorbikes, and even stray dogs. For those who are adventurous, the resort does offer motorbike rentals. If you prefer to avoid the stress of driving, Kasai Village Dive Resort provides tuk-tuk transportation that can be called 24 hours a day, ready to take you to Panagsama Beach or anywhere else nearby. It’s a excellent option if you want to relax and leave the navigating to someone else. Resort to Panagsama Beach The resort is located about a 30-minute walk from Panagsama Beach, or just a 5-minute tuk-tuk ride (200 Peso). However, it's worth noting that the main road to the resort is approximately 1/4 miles, and it’s not lit. The road itself is in moderate to poor condition, so if you’re walking or driving after dark, be prepared for uneven terrain. I personally opted for the tuk-tuk, which was a quick and convenient. Resort Kasai Village Dive Resort is a small, intimate property with approximately 15 rooms, many of which offer views overlooking the water. There is NO BEACH, but I did witness at low tide, families walking along the exposed sea bottom looking for shells. The included WIFI was extremely fast and worked across the entire property. The resort features a decent-sized pool and attached hot tub, with plenty of seating. While the pool itself could use a bit of maintenance (a fresh coat of paint wouldn’t hurt), it didn’t seem to bother any of the other guests. Everyone seemed to be enjoying it just fine. There is also a small restaurant and an adjacent hotel bar, both of which overlook the water. I only dined at the restaurant for breakfast, but the menu was reasonably priced and offered a nice variety of options. The quality of the food was good, and it was a convenient way to start my day before heading out for a dive. The grounds were well-kept, and the

I had discover scuba experience last year and planned to maybe do another discover scuba dive one day. Had doubts if ever again. However, when we were in Moalboal my husband proposed to give me open water diver as a gift. I took the opportunity and researched the options. I chose Kasai dive center despite higher than average price because of the great feedbacks left about the instructor Joselito (Tata) Cabaron. I must say it was an excellent choice. This instructor really makes the difference. Very professional and adjusts to the student. He really addressed all my worries, supported me in theory learning and most importantly gave me the skills and the confidence to dive. He is exceptional. If you are considering getting certified – plan and make sure to book this instructor. It is a crucial choice. As a student I had lots of worries and concerns but after the course I had another 2 dives at different locations, and it felt great. I had the skills to address all the circumstances (current, breathing regulator pushed out of my mouth by another diver accidentally, lower visibility, different equipment…). Long story short: if you are lucky to be in Moalboal reach to Kasai in advance and book Joselito Tata Cabaron. Thank me later.

Excellent dive center with the most competent and service-minded dive instructors/masters, even for advanced technical diving. The guides know every secret hideaway for shrimps, scorpionfish as well moray eels. The center has perhaps the quietest and biggest dive boat in Moalboal, which can hold 20-some divers for two dives and even has a toilet (Philippine standard). This gives you plenty of space to move around since we were never close to full. The house reef is a great spot! The resort is very functional and of a good standard and clean. Really nice pool area, great AC in the rooms, and the sea rooms give you a spectacular view of the sunset with a cold one from the fridge next to you. Not the fastest but nicest bar and restaurant staff. Overall good food with some delicious favorites (spring rolls, chicken noodles, and hot gambas). Kasai Village Dive Resort comes with my highest recommendations! (We were a group of nine Swedish divers staying for 11 nights).
