Chateau de Riell is a place out of Earth. The mountains, the river, the gardens, the chateu and the team. Everything seams from a lovely film full of details and prepared to relax, disconnect and reconnect with yourself and the happiness of confort.

We booked this hotel because their website stated that it had a spa. When we arrived, we were told the spa is not part of the hotel and that it was already fully booked for Saturday. Even worse, we made a 100 km detour on our way to Barcelona just to stay at this hotel. The reception staff spoke poor English, even though this hotel presents itself as part of an international chain, and they did not even bother to call the spa to try and find a solution for us. We asked at least to accommodate us for a late checkout, but the answer was simply “no.” Overall, this experience felt like false advertising, poor management, and service far below any 5-star standard. We will not come back.

My husband and I decided to celebrate our anniversary by spending a night at Chateau Riell. We had indicated this to the establishment when we made the reservation. We booked one of the rooms in the garden, and unfortunately, our expectations were not met upon arrival. The room was nothing like the pictures, and it was quite disappointing for the price we paid. We asked for a room change, but unfortunately they couldn't offer us one. To compensate us, they were very kind to us for the rest of our stay, giving us little treats and gifts. The best part? The dinner at the Oliba restaurant was spectacular, and the breakfast with a view was unforgettable.

Visiting Chatreu de Blet has been a great pleasure, what a wonderful place. Over 1000 years old, with the most wonderful people as hosts, who have served us with the most delicious menus worthy of a Michelin Restaurant. Thank you for some wonderful days, thank you for the hospitality, and all the stories about the place. The place can definitely be recommended for a long weekend or more.

This is an absolutely charming hotel!. It feels very old school French but also very friendly and the staff are super keen to please. It's a bit quirky - but like out of a classic 1950s movie. The building itself is a chateau style, probably Victorian. Big rooms. It's not "modern" or "boutique"- something else and with loads of character. Our room had a super comfy super king bed and very glamorous bathroom. Despite being "traditional" it has a very nice little rooftop pool!

We had a great family weekend in this special, extraordinary and excellent hotel and restaurant. The quality and friendlyness of the service, food and facilities were outstanding. Especially the breakfast was a highlight benefitting from the excellent cuisine of the chef.
