Absolutely, without a doubt the worst hotel for its supposed class I have ever stayed at in all of Italy. (Only 5 star hotels and dozens of them) Where to begin and how to warn others without appearing crazy. Folks I kid you not - the pool looks nothing like the photos. It’s is green with algae growing excessively on the sides and bottom. It is so bad in areas of the pool where the current is weak your feet will be covered by centimetres of dead biological matter. I am not exaggerating. - the kitchen is the level of a cheap small restaurant. The lunch was sub par and the dinner was a disaster but they charged 75 euros for raviolo you would get in a common Italian restaurant located in any city in Italy near the train station. On top of that they destroyed a steak which they wanted 160 euros for. That I sent back and refused to pay for it was so bad there was no way to argue against. - it’s an anglophone tourist trap and I am American. Stay away and don’t believe Leading Hotels of the World. We have written to them and will be speaking directly to them regarding how they can have this hotel listed as a member.

My stay at CASTELLO di VELONA was a truly luxurious experience. The pools, filled with natural spring water, worked wonders on my skin, leaving me feeling rejuvenated and smooth. The serene and tranquil ambiance of the resort made it a perfect escape, providing a sense of tranquility. One of the highlights of my stay was their exceptional expertise in wines and pairings. The staff's recommendations for wine selections were unbeatable, and each time they chose delicious wines that perfectly complemented the gourmet dishes. Their knowledge of wine was truly impressive and added an extra layer of enjoyment to my dining experience. Overall, they definitely delivered on its promise of a luxury getaway.

Gorgeous hotel set in beautiful Toscana What was the best surpise for me is that The hotel looks even better than The photos online Food and wine was delicious, the staff is very cordial and I believe that we have best view in Toscana I recommend coming here if you want perfect relaxation and overall amazing experience while you in Italy
