For the Butler room it was beyond expectations, small, a/c on its last leg, no ventaliation in bathroom caused heat and humidity. We have been to many other Sandals with a butler experience and this by far was the worst. We will not be staying here again.

Excellent visit. My wife and I have stayed at a couple of other resorts and this one had the best food. My wife has to be gluten free and they were very well prepared to be able to accommodate her with safe food to eat. All of the staff were incredibly nice and always wanted to take care of the guests of the resort guests. My wife and I ended up hanging out by the heated pool most of the time. That was our oasis for the week. The lunchtime options for food were excellent. We enjoyed all of them. My biggest complaint of the week came almost as soon as we walked in to our room. We purchased a "Crystal Lagoon Honeymoon Oceanview Luxury Room." My problem is that the room could best be described as "Oceanside." We did not really have a view of the ocean from our room. The room itself was very nice though. I wish Sandals would just clarify the names of the room to actually project what the view would be.

We just spent 10 nights here for our honeymoon and loved every second of it! I’m vegetarian and was worried about food options but I had no trouble eating at all the restaurants and the food was very tasty. We stayed in the crystal lagoon honeymoon butler suite and couldn’t fault it. Our soaking tub on the balcony was epic and our room (1007) had a perfect view of the piano pool bar and the ocean yet despite being central we were never disturbed by noise. Several staff members made our stay amazing and I’d like to personally give them all a shout out in the hope that the resort give them the recognition they deserve: Kaii - our wonderful butler! Kaii never failed to bring us a morning cocktail and she always brought me a veggie pizza without cheese for lunch. Thanks for the chats and teaching us about your wonderful country and for not being offended when we managed to walk right past you before dinner on our last night, we didn’t mean to I promise! Chris Elliot - you sir are a legend. Chris went out of his way to look after a sick kitten that I’d trapped, get him to the vets and get me an update on him before we left. He was also keeping an eye on a lovely ginger boy with bad eyes for me and was planning to take him to the vets this week. Thank you for everything that you do and for always stopping to talk when I saw you. Akeem, Stephen and Davion - you guys made our whole honeymoon! Every time you saw us at the swim up pool bar you mixed us up some great cocktails (the pink crush being my absolute favourite) and you made everything so fun. Thank you for always greeting us with a smile when we saw you and for making us feel like part of the club. You guys rock! We wouldn’t hesitate to come back to this resort as we both had an amazing time. Everything was clean and well maintained. The atmosphere was very chilled and we could always find a quiet spot or a party spot depending on our mood. It was our first trip to the Caribbean and to a Sandals resort and we will definitely be back.

The beds were so comfy felt like I was sleeping in clouds. The staff were friendly we just loved everything. Best decision for our destination wedding. We will definitely be back alone and with our kids.

Wanted to give a shout out to the team at Sandal’s MoBay for yet another amazing trip. We arrived for our 31st visit the second week of March to meet up with several couples we have met through the years to celebrate three of their birthdays. The weesk prior to our arrival had been extremely difficult on the island as they had several days of bad weather and extreme flooding. The team at MoBay had done an amazing job getting the entire property cleaned up and back functioning. When we arrived we were met by one of our favorite butlers Marvin, he is simply amazing. He leaves no small detail undone and continues to amaze us trip after trip along with his partner in crime Marvin. These two are in our opinion at the top of their game when it comes to providing a 5 star experience. We refer to them as the not only the butler A team but we count them as family. We had beautiful weather the entire week and amazing service from everyone but I have to call out a few special people that consistently go above and beyond to make it a truly memorable experience. Romario and Rayon at the main bar in the evenings are great. They never forget a face or a drink order and always had a drink ready for me without even having to ask. If you have heard of rainbow shots but never experienced them you have to go visit Dane in the evenings at the Piano Bar. The man is truly amazing. I can’t leave out Everton in the living room at night for entertainment. Thanks for all you do to make sure everything is just right. Loxley at the late night grill is yet another hidden gem. We always look forward to seeing him and catching up over a late night snack. Horace at Butches and Joel are the simple the best. These two men never stop working to ensure each guest is treated special and provide the best dining on property in opinions. Dwayne, Sasha and Stephaun at Butches and Soy. Have to give credit to the entire team in the Photo shop from “Dirty Kurt”, Kevin, Omar, Adrian and Marsha that keeps them all in line. We love you guys for capturing all of our special memories for us and look forward to seeing you each trip and what new ideas you have for new poses. I can’t forget about Duncan and Christopher Grant that help lead the teams at MoBay and always go above and beyond. We can’t wait to go back again.

For the cost, I think it is overated and I'd rate this as average. Each day, it was extremely difficult finding any available beach chairs under umbrellas since all had towels on them indicating that they were reserved and as early as 8am each day. Same applied to the chairs around all of the pools. The resort does NOT remove them as indicated if not occupied after 90 minutes. Food was less than average in most places and their room furniture was aged. The staff was very accommodating and friendly!

My husband and I absolutely loved the resort! We came for our honeymoon and they made it so special! The staff were so nice and helpful. We had Mycal and Mckoy aa our butlers and they were amazing! I would highly recommend requesting them for your next stay! We will definitely be back!

This resort is stunning! From the moment you walk in the lobby you see that beautiful ocean view to when you walk along the resort with all it's lush foliage, it's heaven! We had a room with a balcony soaking tub and I highly recommend that! Soaking in tub while listening to birds chip and the gentle sound of waves is the ultimate in relaxation! The main beach area was lively with mid day entertainment. If you prefer quiet you can go down to a quieter section of beach. Something for everybody! Don't hesitate to stay here!

A review from our 1st time at SMB: Arrival via Club Mobay is 100% worth the money, we saved at least ~2 hours in lineups, the airport was packed, chaotic, and disorganised - as it usually is at MBJ. (I'm using the King's English / Oxford dictionary spelling Mr. Facebook, stop putting squiggly lines under the correct spelling of words). Only carry-on bags meant we were in the Sandals lounge within 15mins after getting off of the plane. Transported to SMB 10 mins after check in at Sandals lounge - didn't even have time to finish my Red *****e. Driver was lovely and was tipped accordingly as he does not work for Sandals. Arrival at SMB, nice greeting...5 mins and we were on our way to our room - they took pity on us and upgraded from DL room type (above Oleander building - I had no idea when booking as it was my 1st trip to SMB) upgraded to room 101 (I don't know what the room type is for #101). Even though 101 was opposite Tokyo Joe's (noisy, dishes and pots banging, staff talking/yelling loudly + housekeeping / carts rolling by all the time)...we were very happy not to be in a DL room with a tiny Romeo & Juliet balcony - they looked awful and the location, ya - no thanks. Room 101 was clean, nicely appointed, very short staggering distance from the lobby bar which we loved. No privacy on the patio but we didn't come to a beachfront resort to sit around a pool or on a patio. Made a b-line to the **** shack for lunch, pork and chicken highly recommended. No patties at the shack though (odd?) but they had them at the Mariner next door. They were out of 'fish-in-foil'...for 3 days...my wife was not impressed...maybe bad timing on our part? There's fish everywhere else so ***? Looked for a couple chairs with shade...everyday...as expected, it was futile unless you had a butler reserve them...no butler service for us peons. Never seen it this bad at other 5* on the island we have been to. Later in the afternoon (3pm +) and again on day 2 + 3 we finally found 2 chairs with shade all the way at the end past the Lattitude's bar. By day 4, we just gave up and sat in the bars near the beach...not a great beach experience at all. People just leave stuff on them all day, no one gives a F, no staff come by to clear the stuff sitting there ＞90 mins or even all day left by ignorant / inconsiderate guests. I don't want to play the chairs game at $1000++ per day. This is a major issue for us and deal-breaker - we would go to another Sandals to try, but not SMB. If we had more time, maybe checking out SRC beach may have been more our style...but we shouldn't have to take a bus to get a spot on a beach. SMB is limited by the square footage on the very narrow beach is what seems to be the issue. The SMB beach is very long...but extremely narrow. This makes for a congested area most of the day, not the best experience nor the best beach area compared to IGRH or others TBH. Lattitude's (overwater) bar was a big highlight...although it was hit / miss
