Montpellier is one of the coolest cities in France, no doubt about it. In this respect, staying at Les 4 Etoiles came as a wonderful (and very convenient) introduction to the city's friendly a**osphere. The B&B is located in a quiet district (you're more likely to hear birds and frogs than cars), on its way to gentrification, just next to the picturesque "Arceaux" (kind of an urban Pont du Gard like aqueduct) and within walking distance to the (fully pedestrian) historic center of the city, through the charming Jardin du Peyrou promenade. The rooms are stylish and comfortable (we rented the 4 of them for the whole family, meaning we were really feeling like at home), the breakfast is excellent, and the hospitality and attention of the host, Pierre, definitely sets Les 4 Etoiles in the top category. A little bit of the city's soul is there, and it's a very nice one.
