Newly reopened after refurbishment. Smart, clean, stylish and very comfortable. The staff were superb and very helpful. It's quiet yet well-located.

Booked dinner, bed and breakfast for my partner's birthday and had a wonderful stay. Great meal and a comfortable night before the finest cooked breakfast I've ever had (top quality ingredients treated with love). Service was good and friendly though they did appear a bit under-staffed and under pressure during dinner service.

This was our 3rd time at this small chain of inns / hotels but the first at the Packhorse Inn. Overall, this is a lovely place to stay, with very comfortable rooms, very good food and attentive and friendly staff. Unfortunately, our stay was marred by an aggressive local who had been drinking for several hours in the bar. He took a dislike to us for some reason which meant we had to leave the bar and stay in our room for a few hours until dinner to avoid further confrontation.

Visiting friends who live and are regular visitors to the pub. Great location. Excellent service and well worth a bisit

Lovely night enroute home from a family wedding. Room was lovely and staff top notch. Food delicious. Location very rural, so a car def needed but worth it. Hope to revisit.

Absolute heaven. The rooms were spic and span, and very well appointed. The meals at the inn were fantastic. The views and location were perfect. The staff were outstanding in every respect. A real gem.

Feel lucky to have stumbled across this little gem and now can’t wait to return. After a spa day in Newmarket we had a warm welcome and relaxed in cosy clean rooms. At dinner all dishes were delicious (pork and chicken dishes and Camembert were amazing!) only disappointed none of us could squeeze in dessert. Even the house wine was great. Great location and ambience and the breakfast was lovely and all of our requests granted. We couldn’t work the coffee machine in the room but there was a kettle for other drinks. Worth a visit with friends or romantic night away.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at the Packhorse Inn.. the food was amazing and the staff so friendly and helpful. The accommodation is excellent .. on the second morning our family from a nearby hotel joined us for breakfast ..we were not charged and told it was on the house..what a lovely gesture. Highly recommended.

We stayed at The Packhouse Inn for 2 nights and it is outstanding in every way. The quality of food is exceptional, the staff can’t do enough to make you feel comfortable and the rooms were just perfect. Thank you for making our stay so wonderful.
