グランド セントラル モーテル(Grand Central Motel)

My wife and I stayed here for just one night to take advantage of some free Vline train vouchers, so, as our host told us,, we were not typical of most travellers arriving at the motel by car. We chose this place because the price was reasonable, previous reviews were good and the location was not far from the Vline coach terminal next to the Visitor Information Centre. Our Queen room was basic but clean, comfortable and well air-conditioned. There were good supplies of cutlery, crockery and snacks, together with a microwave and a toaster. Whilst not serving meals at the motel, our host told us of a cafe nearby. He was charming to chat to and kindly looked after our baggage for us in the free hours between checkout and our coach departure. All up, a very pleasant experience.

I actually didn’t have a reservation and just popped in to check if a room was available. The friendliness of the owners and willingness to go the extra mile to accommodate me was out standing. The food was beautiful and staff approachable, capable and attentive. The room l had, had been recently updated and was clean and comfortable. Had everything that was needed for my stay. A creek walk is not far from motel that leads to town. A lovely walk after a beautiful meal. Would definitely stay there again..

Place is very dated 4 star rating is questionable Bunch of drop kicks partying on upstairs loudly 3 am. You get what you pay for I guess

When paying 150 AUD, then I honestly expect better amenities/room. The place was fine. No problem there. I usually pick budget accommodation and don't care too much. I just think that this place is too expensive compared to what you get.

Fantastic spot, our room had a close-up view of the pier & the ocean sunset was magnificent. Really nice building too, and in a great location.

Towels were far from white, they were Grey. Didn't even shower there.. No where comfortable to sit, we brought our camping chairs in to sit on. Very noisy. It was cold wet day ..No reverse air conditioning. Would not recommend it. It really felt and looked grubby. Could Lso hear people next door using the toilet. Could not get out of there fast enough

I stayed overnight to participate in a community event in the morning. While the room was compact and comfortable which made for a good base to explore the city centre, the shower varied a little too much between hot and cold due to others using it. Was hoping to checkout a little later than 10am, but did not feel as welcome to as I did in previous visits This may have been due to the hotel being busy, Will definitely stay again due to the convenience.

We stayed a night and found the location to be the best thing about this motel. Rooms are small dated and run down but clean and located very central to town. Would recommend a ground floor room and parking out the front as room is limited. Good for a short stay.

The motel is very dated and lacks upkeep. The rooms very small, the shower surged between freezing and scolding hot. The beds were comfy enough though. The biggest let down was they didn't have a laundry despite advertising that one was available. All that being said it was pretty cheap and there was a pub within easy walking distance.
