ホテル ラ カスケード(La Cascade)

I loved our stay at La Cascade! It was so beautiful and peaceful in Mouthier-Haute-Pierre and our room had the best balcony with the best view. The staff were mostly friendly and helpful despite not speaking English and us not speaking French. Local relatives helped us with the communication when needed. The owner (I believe) works mornings and he was so friendly and accommodating. The other guy who works in the afternoons could use a bit more customer service skills. Our room was a decent size, bigger than tiny Paris hotels, and was clean and fresh. The wall paper was a bit overbearing but who cares. The view from the balcony was all I cared to look at! The room had no air conditioner so got pretty hot in the afternoons if the outside shades were not drawn, but with the windows open at night it cooled down very well. As is the custom in this area there are no screens on the windows. Breakfast each morning was good with a fairly decent selection of breads and pastries, as well as hard boiled eggs, local cheese and jambon, yogurt, fruits, coffee, tea, juice, etc. Not the luxury of a Paris petit dejeuner but quite fine enough. We did not have lunch or dinner at the hotel since we were visiting relatives. There are no other real dinner options in Mouthier. The bathroom was clean and had a bidet. The "shower" was just a shower nozzle attachment in the bathtub with no shower curtain or way to have a standing shower. That was a drawback, especially for my older mom who does not have great balance. They did not have strong wifi and I had to walk to the other end of the hall to get a signal. I didn't mind that but some people might. There is off street parking but when the hotel is full you might have to park on the street, not really a problem. Lots of people enjoy motorcycling and bicycling in this area too. I've never stayed in a different hotel or bed and breakfast in this area and I absolutely loved staying here.

I needed a last minute stay whilst on a motorcycle tour through Europe. I turned up as the kitchen was closing and the manager asked the chef if he would stay on to cook me a meal. I’m not fussy and let the chef cook what he had on hand, a selection of local cured meats, foie gras and crusty bread for an appetiser and an amazing dish of chicken, mushrooms and a white wine sauce. Truly a stay to remember if only for one night.

séjour de 5 nuits très agréable dans un cadre magnifique avec un accueil très sympathique; la cuisine du patron au demeurant très chaleureux est généreuse et excellente avec des produits locaux servie par un maître d'hôtel efficace et très professionnel....bref à recommander

J ai demandé des renseignements sur le restaurant en adressant un mail cordial et poli. Réponse du propriétaire : oui !!! Même pas bonjour. Sans y être allé ( du coup pas envie) fuyez cet établissement tenu par des personnes qui doivent en premier lieu apprendre la politesse.

J’ai beaucoup apprécié l’accueil convivial, l’endroit avec la vue superbe, le calme et le charme de l’établissement qui surplombe la vallée. Le dîner était juste au top! Des produits frais et de qualité et une superbe présentation. La chambre était de taille correcte, avec un petit balcon,il manque juste des prises de courant …et peut être un peu de rafraîchissement…. Parking juste devant. Je présume que certaines chambres ont été rénovées mais peut être pas toutes…. Si je suis à nouveau de passage dans le coin, je reviendrais avec plaisir Très bon rapport qualité prix! Nous y avons passé 5 jours . Super bien mangé tres bonne cuisine avec produits du terroir bravo chef nous reviendrons et le maitre d hôtel super sympathique très pro et plein d humour .a bientôt . Point de départ Idéal pour randonnée ...

Réservation par téléphone confirmé début de semaine et arrivé sur place, hôtel fermé . Le patron nous répond au téléphone qu’il n’y a pas de personnel ce soir et que l’établissement est fermé ce vendredi 29 décembre ! Honteux !! Fermeture même pas annoncée sur la porte d’entrée !

Un repas parfait en famille pour l'anniversaire de ma mère ! Une autre table à côté de nous rallait pour le délai d'attente entre les plats mais en effectif réduit lors de notre passage avec une salle comble je pense qu'ils font leur maximum ! Bref encore des rageux qui devraient aller manger au macdo plutôt qu'ici ! Les bons plats savent se faire attendre ♥️👌 Suivez les excellents conseils du patron vous ne serez pas déçu !

Avons passé une nuit ds cet hôtel lors de notre we randonnée ,personnel très accueillant,repas délicieux et fin ,petit déjeuner copieux et agrémenté d un bon moment avec le patron ,chambre agréable superbe vue sur la Loue,ns reviendrons !!!😊
