Winning Post Motor Inn

Newly renovated hotel within easy walking distance of the city centre. Amazing value that included cooked breakfast, and great value night dinner specials. Great friendly and helpful staff happy to assist with any questions and advice re tourist information. Close to all wineries.

Great one night stay here. Lucky to be able to charge our Tesla. (Two chargers, but one was faulty.) Went to the restaurant onsite, which was good. Room was clean and tidy, and the staff were nice and welcoming.

We just stayed two nights in the King Executive sweet. The king bed was one of the most comfortable beds I've slept in, away from home. The bedroom was seperate to the loungeroom and was a spacious room with a big TV and air conditioner. Everything was very clean and within walking distance to the centre of Mudgee and next door to Aldi. The buffet breakfast included in your room rate, was lovely. My partner and I will definetely stay there again.

We’re just about to leave after a 2 night stay, which was booked by our daughter. Really spacious room with a very comfortable king size bed, with a single bed also, plenty of amenities, a large shower and a fridge. Breakfast is buffet style and very tasty with good choice of bread, cereals and cooked items. Friendly staff and really well located on the main ***** in Mudgee. There’s a pool but we didn’t use it. Plenty of parking too. Would stay again if we’re ever back in Mudgee.

Much more than a motor inn. Place has been renovated recently, has a very nice pool and a superb restaurant. Stayed in the king room and had breakfast included. Plenty of room and breakfast was one of the best buffets I’ve had. Dinner is optional but suggest the seafood for two

Fantastic staff who accommodated our needs beyond what was expected. Great rooms with showers that have plenty of flow and hot water. The beds were clean and comfy and the rooms were spacious and well presented

Our refurbished room was was large and comfortable. The bathroom was also large as was the TV. This motel is well located in Mudgee. It is a relatively short walk to the centre of town, giving you great access to pubs, restaurants and shops. The restaurant at the motel was excellent, with a great menu and wine list. The buffet breakfast was also well catered. All staff were helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.

We only stayed one night at the Winning Post but it had everything we needed; a large room, a comfy bed, a big TV with Netflix access, and friendly staff. The biggest plus was the restaurant, Charnwood Food + Wine, where we had a terrific meal. Would happily stay here again just for the convenience of dining here!

Convenient to town, great breakfast. BUT room had half a dozen mosquitos and a fly in the room on arrival, I hand squashed 4 on the walls and was curious if cleaners would notice as I was staying two night, no not noticed and probably still there. Curtains weren’t full enough to give full privacy at night, and second day on my return at 2pm I found my door was left open by the cleaners. An apology given by desk staff and I was told they would speak to cleaners…not good enough. I could have been bribed with a discount for being upset about this with a discount as shut-up money but no offer of compensation so here’s my honest review.
