An iconic hotel in mumbai Juhu beach but unfortunately all ends there. Room are dirty and not well cleaned . Staff are polite but that about it Breakfast is poor and not 5 star standard the bread and breakfast pastries are terrible and don’t change nor does selection of fruit just melon / raw pineapple and papaya and cheap frozen cold cuts . There is no emotional engagement from any ***agers . Checking times 1500 but the room was still not ready over an hour late and just get a lousy apology This is a hotel for cheap local clients not recommended for international guest . A very disappointing experience and certainly not a 5 star category Below picture of a dirty phone in a room with insects infestation on the walls inside the hotel and accumulation of dirt and dust which is just neglected after staying for over a week it’s disgusting.

Hotel standard is not as per charges

I booked an exec room with a sea view via agoda and paid the price for it. Only to find that such room does not exist. I raised with staff on several occasions but they did not care and made out I was lying until I showed them what I booked on the app. Finally they agreed an error had been made and confirmed this in email but did nothing about refunding me the difference I paid, I raised a chargeback only for the ***ager to then lie to the bank and say I was given the right room. I have conflicting information otherwise to say that I was mis-sold the room I was given. Female member of staff on the front desk is rude and obnoxious. The hotel does not care about quality of service but more about the amount t of money you have in your wallet. My room that I was given was filthy. The carpets were heavily stained. The toilet smelt like sewage and curtains also smelt. I have pictures to confirm how dirty my room actually was. This hotel prey on its long standing and older clientele solely for the money. The only good thing about the hotel is its location. The hotel itself is outdated and needs to move with the times.

The hotel is right on Juju Beach, with direct access to the beach. We were surprised there were no sunbeds on the beach. Indian people were just walking on the beach. Rooms fairly small, also the bathroom, but all accessories were there. Restaurant serves excellent western an indian dishes. Breakfast choices are reasonable. All over the atmosphere in the hotel was OK. I would the rate the hotel with 4 stars in stead of 5.

The hotel has a lovely setting, right on Juhu Beach, facing west. The sunsets are a beautiful sight. Getting there to and from the airport was relatively easy. A 30 minute taxi ride from the airport at midnight and a 20 minute ride to the airport at 06:00. Drinks and food are expensive for India. However food quality is excellent throughout the day. With regard to drinks unfortunately there was no draft beer available at all, and bottled beer was INR 700 for a small bottle. Wine was also very expensive. Staff and service were excellent at all times and in all departments. The pool is quite small for the size of hotel, but it was never busy. There was a disappointingly low number of pool loungers (10) provided, which were ‘reserved’ for the day early on. Shade availability at the pool was good. There is a lovely beachside bar, again with very good service, however please see below regarding parties. Bedrooms were large, well equipped and very comfortable. Everything you needed was there, and peace and quite levels were excellent, even though my room was next to the lift and stairs. Plenty of bottled water was available and this was regularly replenished. Bathrooms again were excellent with a wide range of accessories and consumable items provided. Security at the exterior of the hotel was first class. Inside the hotel access to the floors with rooms via lifts was protected by room key readers, but you could freely walk up the stairs! Safes were provided in rooms but mine wasn’t fixed down, so you could easily remove the whole safe were you minded to do so. I believe there was more secure safe storage available at the front desk, but I didn’t try to use it. The hotel had a wedding or a party outside by the beach every night we were there. These are spectacular events but the novelty soon wears off, and the loud music slightly spoils the outside pool or beachside experience. Overall very good.

Nice, Good n have a feeling of belonging. Staff are friendly n homely..the hotel is facing the ocean so one gets the fresh breeze. Coffee shop is great. The walk around excellent. Neighbourhood so useful for quick shopping. Overall a good hotel.

I was going to give this a 1 star, because I was mis sold the product, this is no way a 5 Star hotel, it may of been in the 1970’s. But in all fairness to them despite the whole place being very old and dated, everything works and service was not the worse, nor was it the best. Breakfast is mediocre, they are using tinned juices when describing as fresh. The coffee is very weak. Danish pastries and few other things are dried out under the warming lights they use. Location is great for seeing the sunset. It really needs a complex refit to even bring it up to a 3 star of today’s standards. Have a look of our ironing board picture attached, the iron is about 40 years with no steam facility of any kind. Seriously nothing has been upgraded or replaced in the last 30-40 years or more. One of my main complaints is that the room had no direct USB port. Which 5 star doesn’t in this day and age.

Stayed for 3 nights...won't return. Firstly, booked a ocean facing room which we got...very nice view but terrible pissy smell in the room. Secondly and most importantly, the staff are just not hospitable...in every hotel we stayed at in mumbai and other places over ***y years , the staff are happy and chatty and smiley and courteous. Always greeting and pleasant...i know they dont have to be OTT but some staff just looked like they didnt want to be there to be "people people".. I don't blame them at all....i blame the ***agement because it all boils down from the top. The only friendly staff were the porters, housekeeping staff and security. Front office and Restaurant staff definitely need further training and possibly a better salary. If I ask for toast at breakfast, I don't want to be told you have to get it yourself. We had to leave a 1am to catch a flight...so i asked a ***ager if we could order dinner instead off alacarte on the last night or invite 2 friends for breakfast on the second morning because we actually paid for a B&B rate.. but he simply said "not possible" ...same answer from the Duty ***ager. Yes i know its business....but the role of a good hospitality establishment is to bend a little backwards.... The food was average...buffet was average. The property location and very good. But what good is that when you have below par staff and service. Sun and Sand....please make your staff happy...happy staff equals happy guests.

The gajar ka halwa was amazing.Also the food service given by anil Jena and harsh mehrol was top notch also the dishes served to us in haochi were great.Love and big thanks to all the staff for making the experience unforgettable.Also the food suggestion by the staff was good
