オーベルジュ ドゥ バレ(Logis Auberge du Barrez)

Had a lovey one night stay here as part of our 5 week French touring holiday. The staff were really genuinely lovely, a special thank you to the French “English” lad from derby, we are so sorry, despite you giving your name several times we forgot what it was! He had the most wonderful English accent and took time to explain the menu in great detail and recommended a good local wine. The chef/owner was also such a lovely guy, very genuine and a great cook, truly hands down the best duck we had had all holiday, both smoked and then cooked to perfection compared to most of the other duck we had had which was sinewy, chewy and downright awful! Loved the local mash potato and tomme cheese which accompanied it. Apparently they smoke a lot of their meats and fish in house. The chocolate dessert was also wonderful, not sickly, not too chocolaty, just perfect. The room was very nice and spacious, clean, nice comfortable bed, would suggest asking for an upper floor room if going in warm weather so as you can have the windows open as there is no air conditioning, also no elevator. We were unfortunately woken up around midnight by some young people from the housing estate across the back garden who were chatting and then decided to play quite loud music (fortunately it was good music)!!! Again, fortunately it only lasted around 10-20 minutes before I assume some French local complained and then it was turned off immediately and we got back to sleep again. Would certainly try to make this a stop for a nights stay and to eat in the restaurant if anywhere near the area, definitely worth the detour, warm welcome, great room, good parking, wonderful food, in an era when french food is starting to disappoint. 100% recommend.

Un apéritif sans amuse-bouche !!!! Dommage ! Une viande saignante trop cuite !!! Dommage ! Pas tendre !! L’image de la race Aubrac en prend un coup, surtout que le patron nous a fait la réflexion : elle était trop cuite !!! L’ aligot j ai vu mieux !!! Franchement pour un bistronomique à part le cadre c est vraiment dommage que nous ayons été si peu satisfait : Accueil sympa : ouf

L'hôtel est charmant, la décoration sympa. La chambre est agréable et propre. La literie est confortable. Le personnel est accueillant et souriant. La cuisine est élaborée, nous nous sommes régalés. Nous recommandons cet établissement.

en temps que camping cariste je frequentais le restaurant,depuis que la mairie a instauré le parking camping car payant avec camping car park je ne visite plus cette commune et donc je me prive de manger dans cette auberge ainsi que d'autres camping caristes nous nous rendons tous à bozoul 12 et allons tous manger à" la route d'argent" qui est super d'autant plus que la commune nous reçois sur un superbe stationnement camping car gratuit !!!

Nous avons logé dans la chambre 15.Chambre confort à 106 euros.Certes,la chambre était grande mais très basique pour le prix.La moquette est dégoûtante.Elle aurait besoin d'être changé.Petite fenêtre,pas de cafetière,pas de climatisation.Le terme confort n'est pas adapté à cette chambre.Le petit déjeuner est à 12 euros est à rajouter.Bon petit déjeuner mais sans fouace , spécialité tout de même de l'Aveyron.Dommage!!

Très bonne table, produits locaux savoureux. Plats proposés excellents et présentés avec soin. Très bons vins. cadre paisible et de bon goût. Accueil simple et sympathique. Service agréable réalisé par de jeunes professionnels compétents.

Mais la chambre est un peu trop sombre , taille correcte , lit de 160 de bonne qualité mais les oreillers sont tres moyens et il n’y en a qu’un par personne. Pas de bouilloire ni de cafe dans la chambre.. dommage La salle de douche est toute petite avec les toilettes à l’interieur et la douchette n’est pas tres facile à utiliser

Séjour du 14 au 17 juillet 2023 Très bon accueil, chambre très propre et confortable. Le personnel est attentionné, souriant et à l'écoute du client. Le cadre est magnifique ! Du côté restaurant, des produits de qualité, un régal à chaque fois. Je recommande !

Pour avoir passé 12 jours dans cet hôtel en demi-pension dans un bàtiment très insonorisé, chambre luxueuse, très beau parc, personnel, équipe de direction très à l'écoute vaut le détour, l'ensemble très propre, niveau restauration rien à dire tout était parfait
