ハーバー ライト モーテル(Harbour Light Motel)

I have stayed here several times and in different rooms. They are under renovation and these rooms are more to my liking. I have had no problems with the bookings or checking in. Just make sure that you ask at front desk during check-in or during your stay if you need extras of anything. No major problems with the service. There has been (in the rooms with 2 beds) one firmer than the other and they have protective covers on the beds. They fall short when it comes to cleanliness though. But just ask and they will tend to anything that needs attention ASAP.

Very nice guy running the check-in, was able to provide lots of information about the city and its history, and good spots to walk. The room was very cheap for what was provided, and had both AC and heat. Overall would hoghly recommend for a stay in Nanaimo.

you only get 1 towel, no hand or face towel, When we ask they said that's all we have! Not very professional! Check in was good! Would not stay here again!

There were stains all over the floor. The beds were not made properly. It was listed as 2 queen beds, but there’s no way they were queens. The fan in the room was so loud that it was a constant distraction.

The value for money is good. The room smells of cigarettes and dust. There is carpet on the floor that collects dust.

Originally booked and stayed for two nights and then I added anothet night. All staff are very friendly and helpful. Room is basic and considered clean, but the carpet should need some better cleaning. What I like is that there's a restaurant next to the motel as well as gas station and McDonald's across the street that I could conveniently walk there to buy food when I got hungry. Overall I'm satisfied with this motel and I would stay there again when I visit Nanaimo next time.

Stayed one night at the Harbor Light for a quick tour of the University. Stayed at the same place 5 years ago and many measures have been taken to be safer - it is noticed thank you! We stayed on the backside after reading reviews, and it was very quiet. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable, it is a good solid basic place to stay! Walkability to local amenities and the waterfront is great. We are very budget conscious and appreciate good clean safe basic places to choose from. Owner/operator at the desk is very friendly and helpful, thanks for working so hard!

Close and convenient to the morning ferry. With a restaurant in the next parking lot it made finding dinner easy.
