The hotel stay here was perfectly adequate the room was clean, the staff perfectly polite and attentive. But a few points of feedback for the hotel. In certain areas the hotel lacked a 5* level of quality service. Mostly during breakfast. The first morning I arrived to breakfast around 10am and the hotel staff let me enter and have breakfast. After arriving it was clear that. The service was coming to an end so I am not sure why this wasn't explained with things being taken away. I was confused to why they let me enter when I couldn't eat anything.
The following day I arrived earlier for service and after scanning my room key I was left to myself. When I have stayed in other hotels of 5* quality normally you are taken to a seat and offered a hot drink as a minimum. Normally I wouldn't complain about this but given the hotel and the star rating these bits of service feel quite basic and missing. Despite the above the breakfast offer is large and things I ate all tastes good and were to a.high quality a good mix of western and eastern options
The hotel did have a luxury feeling but it felt empty from a design point and had a dated or aged feeling of luxury. My room was very comfortable and clean etc. But it felt empty especially in the bathroom due to how it was designed and laid out. For example I couldn't find any light switches by the door to my room just do not disturb switch. The bed room lights were next to the bed. When coming back late and it's dark you have make your way into the room to turn the lights on. An odd design choice.
As mentioned above these are not things I would normally complain about but when paying to stay at a hotel under the brand you have certain expectations and attention to detail is key.
Despite being hard on the hotel in my stay I would stay here again and encourage others to do the same. It is a nice hotel just requires greater attention to detail.
