シャトー・カピトゥール(Chateau Capitoul)

We spent two nights here on our way to Portugal. The estate is beautiful, very friendly service and the Villa we had rented was brand new, spacious, spectacular view and had comfy beds. The pool was closed but looked fabulous and very large. We are for sure coming back.

. our stay was wonderful. we liked it so much that we stayed 1 more night. The Villa has a fully equipped kitchen, everything is modern and of high quality! gorgeous views of the vineyards. stylish renovation and furniture. There are car chargers.

Newly built self catering villas are beautifully appointed with great attention to detail. Surrounding areas provide nice views and vegetation is designed for desert like climate to be more eco conservative and was tastefully done. Common areas such as pool, tennis, pétanque and biking were great. Wine shop and tasting on site. Lots of steps, stairs and grassy slopes prevalent and not for those with mobility issues. Nice restaurants and beautiful terrace available in season. Overall a pleasant stay.

We had a marvelous welcome. Our room wasn't ready so we spent some time at the beautiful pool. We ordered a light lunch at the pool bar. The service was very slow, and the lady who made the salad and sandwiches used no gloves. Her hands went from handling money to touching the ham. Not good. We stayed in a beautiful but very small room (307). The a/c did not produce any cold and it was 37 degrees outside. We told reception about the problem and when we came back from a short walk it seemed to work better. Something then must have happened because all through the night -again- there was no or insufficient cold air coming out. We sat the a/c at 19 (the lowest), but it was at least 25 degrees in the small room. The toilet had to be flushed several times just to get a small piece of paper down. We had a delicious dinner at their gourmet restaurant, but the waiters lacked sophistication. Their dress code was not what you expect in a fine dining restaurant. A British family had brought a small child who almost ruined everyone's dinner. The staff didn't do anything about it... We had looked forward to a nice breakfast. It was utter chaos. No one to greet us, the tables weren't set. The "fresh fruit" looked anything but. We had to ask for plates, glasses, cutlery. We ordered one tea and one coffee. We had to repeat our order three times before it finally came. There was obviously no management, no one to supervise the breakfast and its staff. Such a disappoin**ent in a fairly pricy hotel. Time for a serious management meeting to improve and stear things up!

Chateau Capitoul is possibly the finest hotel we have stayed at. The room was fantastic, well-appointed with modern comforts like a Bose Bluetooth unit, but decorated in an elegant style befitting this beautifully restored Chateau which is steeped in history and has its own wine Domain. All the essentials were in place: the bed was very comfortable, great shower pressure and plenty of space. We ate at the Adaso restaurant in the hotel where wonderful food is cooked over charcoal. Dinner was of an exceptionally high standard, served in a room with lovely decor and magnificent views of rolling vineyards of the region. Breakfast was also great with fresh fruit and outstanding pastries. The Spa area is comprehensive with massage rooms, a pool, hot tub, steam room and sauna. The staff were welcoming, professional and informative but relaxed and friendly. This visit really was an exceptional life experience - HIGHLY recommended.

What an amazing place to spend a holiday. We stayed with friends in a two bedroomed villa in the grounds of the chateau (number 12). It was perfect. The position was amazing on one side was the lovely view of pine tree while the other was the most spectacular view across the etang to the snowy topped peaks of the Pyrenees. The villa had a terrace where you could lie and watch the wildlife and catch the sun (which is there most of the day). Walking a short distance gets you to the gorgeous infinity pool with olive trees for shade and a bar or walk the other way to reach the chateau for restaurants and spa. We took some of the hotel bikes for a ride to the nearest towns which was a beautiful activity. Everything in the villa was perfect, exceptionally well presented and thought through with everything you could want for a holiday. The decor and quality of furniture was of the highest standard. We will definitely be coming back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Chateau Capitoul in one of the self catering villas. The villa was spotless, luxurious, well equipped and with the most wonderful view. All staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, especially given we were travelling with a young baby. We were here outside of the main season and didn’t make much use of the available facilities but even so we had a fabulous time - we would love to come back in a warmer month and make use of the gorgeous pool!

We had a wonderful stay - the only problem was that it was too short. We will definitely recommend this property to our friends and look forward to returning one day. I will definitely have a massage or facial trea**ent next time too.

Houses are nicely decorated, very comfortable, rooms and beds are of very high quality, view is great, possibility to easily bike to the sea and lot of others activities close by. In winter it’s very quiet and enjoyable! EV charging stations are available. Houses are fully equipped and have a great huge kitchen.
