ソンダー アット ダンカン プラザ(Sonder at Duncan Plaza)

For this to be a virtural check in, there was too much people interactions. I submitted my ID online like asked just to be harrased by security when checking in for my ID and room information =, then I had to go through the process again at check out. Also for the room to have a door code, the battery was dead and I had to wait 30-45 min for someone to come and replace the batteries, another interaction that was not needed. The living room lights did not turn on, the bed was super hard with a LOUD box spring that made noise with every movement, Only 1 elevator out of the 5 worked plus it smelled like mildew. If you plan on only using the room for sleeping, this might be the place for you. Only upside was that er had 2 bathrooms in our room.

Close to everything, walkable to public transit and the French Quarter. Everyone at the building was friendly and helpful. The accommodation was comfortable. The kitchen allowed for flexible and thrifty plans.

The security at the front door was friendly. The rooms were spacious. The kitchen had everything we needed. The rooftop pool was gorgeous!

Outside of windows was a bit dirty and lots of cobwebs. Wife did not went to open the blends. Guest bathroom had a “singing toilet”. Commode tank would run (refill the water level) constantly. Guest bathroom toilet seat is not secured and slides/rocks to and fro. Would also recommend a tv in the bedroom.

Bed & bathroom & kitchen great but no double glazing on windows so the New Orleans racket that goes on after dark feels like it’s in the room with you! Can’t access the apar**ent til 4pm for free despite it being ready by 12.30pm. Dodgy characters living/staying in many other suites in building sharing one working lift out of six

Great to have a kitchen so we didn’t have to eat out all the time. Had a lot of issues with the internet and TV though

It’s very central location. Easy to walk. It’s close to Bourbon St. Only things I didn’t like are that there was always a noice in front of my window and there wasn’t any opportunity to leave my suitcase for two hours after my check out and the receptionists gave different information about it.

The building had an old fowl odor. The wait times for the elevator were extremely long. The security guards stopped DoorDash delivers from being delivered. The hot water in the shower did not get hot at all.

The Sonder at Duncan Plaza was in an excellent location. It is walkable to many place to eat and to the French Quarters. There is a local street car , buses and uber. The property is very clean but you can see that there is heavy traffic. Sonder gave us exactly what we needed nothing more nothing less. They advertise that its a luxury building which is a stretch. Its a high rise building but no luxury at all. If you want a place to stay that's clean and in a good location its perfect. If you want luxury this is not it.
