The Brakeman Hotel is a cute and charming hotel. Mr. Gregory was the absolute sweetest and very informative. The location was perfect and very walkable. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Perfect place to stay if you want to spend a lot of time in the French Quarter. Just removed from the area, this is within an easy walk to all the highlights, but far enough away from all the noise at night. Very secure, clean and the staff was always super friendly and accommodating. Prices are also very reasonable.

Nice building and great renovation. Good location if it's your first time, given the visitor center and tour bus on site. This was our 5th visit to area, and we found most places we went to be walkable from hotel. Felt safe with onsite measures to secure building, and staff was helpful.
Beds were comfortable, and in room amenities were equivalant to a standard hotel. However, there are no full curtains in the room, only shutters & decorative drapes. So I highly suggest to bring a sleep mask if you are sensitive to light. We had to hair clip our decorative ones to sleep.

Lost power for over 5 hours. Showered by my cell phone flashlight. No compensation or bonus (no free breakfast or anything else offered for inconvenience). Other than that perfect stay.

We loved this little 18-room hotel, with a coffee shop and mini museum on the main floor. To get to the French Qrtr, just go across Basin St. and you're there. Highly recommend this gem!

The rooms and staff are the stars of the operation. Professional and accommodating team members that were attentive my needs during my 3 day stay. Definitely appreciated the suggestions for my future trips to NOLA. Will definitely be back.
