Minus: In one room one of the table lamps didn't work. When showering the glass doors didn't really help keeping the water in the shower, instead the water spilled all over. Plus: We both got upgraded rooms. Nice fjord view in both of them. Large bathroom and bedroom. Great breakfast and staff. Even if the rooms were in the old part of the hotel the sound insulation is really good. We couldn't hear the neighbors. Also the location is really nice. Nice minibar in the room and free parking.

Stayed here for a night on our way to Flom. Lovely hotel, great staff and best breakfast we had on our 2 week Norwegian trip. We had a balcony room, comfy bed with views over the water. The armchairs on the balcony were super comfortable too. Would definitely stay here again.

Rooms were spacious. Bkfst was good. But the guy at the reception could show a bit of friendliness at check in. He was cold as a fish. However, Maria, at checkout, was warm and super helpful.

Had a bonus night's stay with breakfast. Comfortable and very clean room / bathroom. There was a small fridge in the room, but not a stocked minibar (which is getting rare in Norwegian hotels these days). Very good breakfast buffet, like you expect at a Thon Hotel. The hotel has an old part with the historical and impressive dining hall, and a more modern part with most rooms and conference facilities. I did not have dinner here, but noticed that the prices are not cheap. Free parking.

Norheimsund revised at the end of my annual summer vacation . I grew up here and have had many a exiting experience, from the first time at six I dance school and later as a high school graduate. The lift Thon group has performed and the homages made to previous owners is charming. The restaurant has been lifted enormously.
