Beautiful property - Garden outside and nice common area. Rooms are big and comfortable. Decent breakfast and at good location - short walk away from city complex and post house etc. Friendly and helpful staff

A beautiful place to spend your holiday and relax. Delicious food and rooms were really clean and nice. Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent service provided by all staff members and a special thank you to Mr.Shiva and Mr.Frank for all the help & support given throughout our stay. For sure will visit again.

Very nice small hotel set in a colonial style bungalow, with a well laid out garden. They have just a few rooms, so the vibes are very homely contrasting to the plastic commercial hotels ! On a hill station, staying in a colonial style place adds to one’s experience. Location of the hotel is very good, very close to the golf course, post office and Victoria park, however tracing it was a little challenge as sign boards were missing. They need to put sign board on the main road, like other hotels did. It was a comfortable stay with hot water, twin bed and other basic amenities. The staff was courteous. Highly recommended if not looking for a star rating.

Photos are highly deceiving. Breakfast quality is questionable. It is recycled and very limited options. Hand wash sink floods, hot water shower needs to be held throughout. Rooms are not cleaned. Bed sheets are not changed. Rooms need vacuuming and moping. Very noisy. One can hear all the conversations held in the lobby into your room. Room woods are filthy and creaking. Dinner can't be served if you don't place your order by 6:30 pm.

Picturesque stay in a very gorgeous area. Very clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful, got us a local cab to sightsee at a cheap rate. If you are staying here do not miss the high tea at Grand Hotel which is at walking distance from Hill cottage.

The staff is friendly and professional. The location is amazing and the garden is well maintained. Rooms are clean and spacious. Do not forget to enjoy their complimentary breakfast with Sri Lankan and English food varieties. For lunch and dinner you can visit Grand Indian or Grand Thai which are just about walking distance.

This is the best place in Nuwara Eliya, the manager Frank and all the staff including Ajith, Shiva, Dilshan provide excellent service, it really feels like home, this is the third time I have visited this year.

Hill Cottage is a very beautiful and relaxing place to spend your vacation. It is also suitable for children as it has a beautiful private garden. Sitting in the garden in the cold morning and enjoying the sweetness of a cup of coffee was an experience that made us forget the busy life a little. The staff led by Frank and Shiva were very friendly. A place to recommend to anyone without any hesitation
