The local dance performance was exciting and thrilling! The room was large and comfortable, but the bathroom window was not closed tightly, and many insects flew in when the lights were on at night.

The Nyungwe Top View Hotel is beautifully located with amazing views. The staff is kind and service oriented. The systems and processes need a little work. Our wake up knock for an early excursion never came. We had laundry done and they did well, but we had to ask for it a couple times as it seems to have overlooked on returning to us. Unfortunately, the staff advised us to take breakfast with us on the chimp trekking day rather than eating at hotel. This meant we had to complete the arduous trek on an empty stomach. The food was good and wait staff including Jean D'Amour were great. It does need an update in the rooms a bit or a little tlc. Note rooms have no closets. We would stay here again.

Our favorite accommodation on our week long trip. Huge rooms, balcony out back to enjoy the nature. A separate room with super comfortable chairs and a fire place. Perfect to relax and drink some wine. As always, staff very friendly and attentive. Dinning room is a short walk from your building.

The cabins at this place are nicely appointed, spacious, comfortable and have a sitting room with fireplace, foyer room, big modern bathroom and a great bedroom. The lanai (roofed patio) behind overlooks incredible Nyungwe area scenery and has flowering bushes that attract lots of sunbirds. At night the staff brings hotwater bottles to put in the bed and warm your feet. The food is excellent and staff are very attentive and helpful. All speak English. They sometimes bring a local cultural performer group up if cabins are mostly full. The only downside at all are the steep steps up to the restaurant on the second level. Those are challenging as we get older. We have stayed here many times, weeks at a time while doing training at Nyungwe. It is always a great place to stay for all the reasons above. We also have brought ten friends for ecotours on this recent trip and two previous trips and they loved it.

I was less than enthusiastic about this hotel. We spent two nights here. The quality of the food at all meals was poor. The staff were good. But the problem is with the lady manager who was not capable of either understanding or solving our concerns The hotel itself is tired and needs revamping. I would not recommend this hotel, but I have no idea on what the alternative hotels are The hotel was the only one we stayed at which charged only in US dollars. I believe hotels in Rwanda should charge in local currency. As others have said , they have peculiar rules for what they will not let you do in your room

This place is beautiful!!! The food was good and the rooms were large. We had a fireplace which they cone and light for you in the evening. They packed us breakfast and lunches to go for our trekking adventures during the day. In the evening they bring hot water bottles to the room and place them under the blankets!!!!! We loved that and the staff treated us like kings!!!!! We still gave it 5 stars even though they really need to get phone lines in the room to call for room service, otherwise you have to walk back to the reception to request anything. We still give it a 5 because this place is amazing and the staff are soo polite and the service is beyond 5 stars!!!! I highly recommend this place for your stay.
