とても悪い、無愛想

Lovely old hotel the Hot Pools were lovely. Only downside, no fridge in the room.

온천 무료 이용이 가능한 호텔, 24시간 자연온천 개방 중입니다. 밤에 별보면서 하는 온천은 이색적이에요 인적이 드문 곳에 있어서 차량 필수입니다. 객실은 오래된 느낌이 나지만 청결한 편입니다 냉장고는 따로 없었어요. 물도 직접 사서 가야합니다. 조식 결제 안했는데 공짜로 먹을 수 있었어요 조식 식당이 고급스럽고 다양한 종류의 빵과 시리얼이 있습니다. 처음엔 너무 오래되보여서 실패했나 생각했는데 크게 불편한 점 없었고 온천 이틀 즐기고 조식 먹으니 괜찮은 경험이었던 것 같습니다. 추천합니다.

An amazing historical site - so keep that in mind if you’re visiting here!! As a historical lodge, there are some features that are a little dated or could probably use a little more maintenance. But our stay was pretty amazing. GREAT STAFF! Walk to pools, for someone out of shape like myself, it was a little long but pretty nice pools… maybe folks making out at the bottom pool could leave a sock out on the path so we *ahem* don’t interrupt??? Upper pool great and fairly warm, my teens thought it was “cool” so bonus there. 20 minutes to Hobbiton so there’s that!! It’s a great place to stay if you are doing the evening tour there and want a place to relax after… kinda carb high yummy breakfast :) my hubby brought sausages he warmed in microwave in our room (diabetic) but a great selection of cereals, pastries and such!! GF items. Golf rentals were cheap but loaner items are donated things!! Good for a new person wanting to see what it’s like…?!! Nice chalet set up in number 7. I want one for my teens hahahaha!

We visited Okoroire Hot Springs Hotel mid-August 2024. The accommodation although a little dated was clean, the food in the restaurant was great and we enjoyed the hot pools. We were told when we checked in that breakfast was served until 10am each day – a continental was included and if we wanted a cooked breakfast we could pay extra, just order it in the morning, before 10, at reception. That sounded very reasonable. However on the first morning I asked at reception if I could order eggs on toast only to be told ‘the chef works 7 days a week so has gone home.’ Day two – 9.15 am asked at reception to order eggs and was told by the owner ‘The chefs gone home, I’m not paying him $30 an hour to stand around. You need to come earlier!’ When asked how early I was told before 9. Day three – 8.30 am asked AGAIN at reception to order eggs only to be told by the owner ‘The chef is sick he’s gone home!’ No apology, nothing. The lovely lady at reception did say ‘Sorry about that.’ Not getting a cooked breakfast isn’t the end of the world but surely if you advertise something it should be provided and if not available then an apology would be good. The staff were all very professional and welcoming but I don’t think this business will last long with the current owners people skills – or lack of! My advice before visiting is wait until they are advertising ‘under new ownership’ before a visit.

The hotel is lovely and quaint, decorated true to its Victorian heyday era. We visited 7 years ago before it was refurbished and they have done a great job. The sitting room is lovely, the hot pools are lovely. Bed is comfortable, only 1 powerpoint in room, but it is a bery old building (luckily we always travel with a powerboard) The only downside was the restaurant: our dinner was terrible which was very disappointing as previously it was top notch. The entree we requested was not available. We shared a pizza for main course, which bore little resemblance to the description on the menu: the sauce on it was plain nasty, bitter & sour, and we couldn't eat it. When we asked about it we were told “the chef says it is ok, it is the wine in the sauce” but there was no mention of wine in the sauce on the menu. Hubby’s dessert was ok but had been forgotten, so came out after I had eaten mine. My dessert bore little resemblance to the menu description: “poached pear with vanilla bean custard”. There was a sad soggy overcooked poached pear, however no custard- the pear was sitting on some weird lumpy concoction which appeared to be something like Nestle Caramelised condensed milk spooned straight from the can, with a ball of icy icecream covered in raspberry sauce out of a bottle. I ate the pear and the icecream because I was hungry after not being able to eat the main dish. No offer of a refund or substitute main dish, just a shrug. And you pay up front when ordering so no chance of refusing to pay. We had planned to eat there both nights we stayed but sadly didn't have confidence to try the restaurant again, so grabbed a takeaway in town.

We went here for a hot pool experience and were delighted with the experience. All very naturally set in the bush beside the river. So much historical information. If you are expecting a modern facility, then the reality it is not, it is ancient and quant. There are three pools of varying temperatures unto 38 degrees. The after the pool experience was go into the bar for a drink to quench our thirst. We decided to have a meal. OMG it was amazing. The whole hotel is historically founded on 1800's decor and modernised fire hazards. So warm and inviting. The staff were amazing people. Other things to do there is a nine hole golf course. It is also a rest stop and eat drink for motorcyclist touring around the country.

Used Grab one deal, stayed overnite in Dbl. room package, included use of hot pools, golf course as much as wanted and a continental brekkie next morning. Enjoyed all the facilities, nice pools, great nine hole public course and the bars and restaurant also great. Like steppin back in time, from reception to rooms , bars and restaurant. Had warm , comfy nites stay. Good food in restaurant , had dinner as well as the free brekkie. Great hotel staff. For a golfing couples overnite stay away , perfect. We both enjoyed our stay and will do it again sometime. Great value. Recommend
