I have thought about our stay at this hotel now for a fair few weeks since coming back. Here is my review - Good points - The restaurant staff male and female - Luca is a lovely chap and a great person to have been served by, all the ladies are lovely and friendly also. The food in the restaurant in the evening is lovely and tasty - I recommend all of the items on the menu. - (Albeit you could do with a few more items and ice cream on the dessert menu) Lasagna, Pizza etc...kids meals..maybe change the menu every week? It's a nice setting next to the pool at dusk. The pool area is nice and the bar is well stocked. The younger guy and older chap are nice and friendly. - and speak good English and the Polish Italian lady who are lovely. Ladies who clean the room do a great job and I left them some money! The hotel is 15-20 minute walk from the main Olbia square/shops and area of interest - there are hundreds of other restaurants which well, were amazing. We did not have a bad meal in Sardinia at all !! You can get a bus to the beaches locally and the shopping centre and even the airport which is great, and a train station is a few minutes away. The lady who organises the tours at reception is lovely, friendly and can sort you out, we did the boat tour seeing all the islands in the North and crystal clear water - high recommended! The gym and spa are good, and have good machines. My daughter had a spa treatment and liked it. So well done there... So the things that are not good - Wi-fi is just terrible - worked ok in the room at 5.30am and then dies the more people that wake up and try to use it - Was a bit better down stairs but not amazing. Breakfast could do with more hot items and change around. More sunbeds required, (get down there early to secure or you will be dissapointed) If it is a 4* you need a porter to help with your luggage ! as the steps are crazy with suitcases! or a staff member to help. Reception staff need to be more friendly, the odd Hi and Hello would be nice! have a nice day, etc can we don anything for you? how is your stay going? etc etc.... The life guard or the chap who puts the beds out needs to change his attuide, I asked for a new towel and he looked at me in disgust! I think you need to remove his 'life guard t-shirt' as I have never met or seen a life guard who has head phones on, and is on his phone all day then disappears... The pool closes at 6ish, he should not start taking the umbrellas down before hand when you are still sitting by them ! - I get it everyone wants to go home but come on.... Air con in our room was not good and turns off, we did speak to reception about this and he said it was ok - not by my standard..we did not move rooms, just spent minimum time in it. Its too hot in the breakfast room. The hotel is not 4* it is dated in places, rooms are clean and cleaned daily. The bed we had creaked..which was not ideal! Even one night the people next room to us banged on our wall
