This hotel is nearly on 95. Super busy traffic noise all night. I would not stay here again.

I'll start off with the positives: - The greeter, who I presume was the owner, was kind and allowed me to start my check-in early (with a fee, but that was to be expected). - The property, despite having the layout of a motel, looked very nice. And the moment I stepped into my room, it felt I was in a high-class hotel. - Most (not all, but I'll get to that in the negatives) amenities were provided. - The price, compared to what else I was finding in the area, was relatively inexpensive. And now for the negatives: - A very minor one, but tissues would be a nice amenity to have had in the room. - The location is close to the highway. Probably great for finding business from weary travelers, but unideal for morning-sleepers like I. - The chairs in the room, though looking nice, felt cheaply made. I heard the one I sat at cracking as I sat, and I feared it might break underneath me.

The owners are very nice and helpful. The room was clean, the sheets and towels are good quality and were clean as well. There were more than enough pillows and blankets. There is a small table and 2 chairs to sit and look out the window. The bathroom is good size. The water pressure is good, with plenty of hot water. The floor is tiled, so it is very cold on bare feet. There is no breakfast, but they will get you bottled water if you ask. The parking is well lit. You can hear the traffic from the highway, especially the trucks. I like the sound. If sound bothers you, you, may want to bring ear plugs. Overall, this is a wonderful place to stay. I have been coming here for years.

This motel was convenient, safe, easy to park, clean and affordable. You wouldn't want to sit outside long because its very close to the interstate, so very loud outside the motel. But once inside the room, the highway noise is muffled and served as white noise that was not uncomfortable. As a matter of fact, we slept really deeply both nights we stayed here. The mattress was very comfortable. Ditto the pillows. TV was good. Bathroom was clean, with llenty of hot water. We were happy with our stay here.

Room was spacious, and felt so homey. Everything was so clean!!! Check in was a breeze and the man who checked me in was so kind. Very close to a lot of things which makes drives places simple.

The staff was welcoming and friendly. Freeway noise was bad. Maybe install noise abatement windows with the renovation. The place needs a facelift.

Check-in was efficient. Room was clean. Road noise was minimal (considering proximity to I-95). Linen was smell and stain free. Mattress was best I've had in decades (if you like firm, which I do). Down side is the facility shows its age but you get what you pay for, without the normal bad stuff (see above). Water was hot enough but water pressure was closer to a trickle (took at night, not in morning).

In for a quick one night stay, flexibility on early check in was great. Very close to I-95 so some background traffic noise. Our room was carpeted, but new LVP is going in thru out. Great value and Main St Old Saybrook has nice shops and restaurants. Would recommend Mirsina's for breakfast if looking for more than continental.
