I will say that arriving to the location was challenging with a car. The receptionist was too fast with directions to get our rental safely parked (nearby grocery store overnight). I realize she's been at the job awhile so it may seem quite simple for her. We did appreciate the apar**ent but the entry door, 3 flights up, is literally at the commune kitchen. Busy area with guests! The view on top terrace was the best asset.

Very lovely place, clean, pleasant, central and the terrace is a big, big win! Not a luxury experience but nice and cosy, hands down my best experience at this price point. Didn't get a chance to meet to the hosts but they were readily available by message. Would definitely recommend for solo travellrs/duos hoping to save but not compromise on comfort.

Pensao Bicuar is a real good location in olhao. 1-2 minutes walk to the boardwalk at the marina and 4 minutes walk to the cheap (eur 2) services to ria formosa nature park with some of the best beaches of europe. I stayed in the top floor appartement with sea view nice own kitchen living room bedroom and own shower and sea sight. Which was wonderfull. I came in late from the faro airport (only 15 minutes away) but the owners gave me on time instructions how to enter the pansao and room which worked perfect. The large supermarket pingo doce is a 4 minutes walk away to buy groceries for self cooking. The area is full with budget restaurants for people that like cooking.

I was only there for one night , but it’s location was central and convenient for everything . Room was very nice and i will go back .

The staff is amazing. Some speak french, wich was great. Could be hot during the summer time because there is no air conditionning.

Pension Bicuar, nestled in the heart of the picturesque town, has managed to do just that. The beautiful property, with its pristine rooms and unparalleled hospitality, has made our stay nothing short of a dream. From the moment we arrived, Raquel, welcomed us with kindly. Her warmth and friendliness instantly made us feel at home. Not only did she provide us with essential ferry timings, but she also gifted us to a nice Portuguese wine - a true testament to her thoughtfulness. Moreover, she went the extra mile by guiding us to a much closer and nicer supermarket than Lidl, which we had been walked quite far to. Her suggestions were spot-on and made our daily errands a breeze. Harma, another lovely team member, never failed to greet us with a bright smile each morning and send us off with warm wishes for the day. Her dedication to making our stay a pleasant one was evident. When we were unsure about the directions to the ferries and boats, Harma stepped in and graciously showed us the correct way, saving us from heading in the opposite direction. Pension Bicuar's meticulous attention to detail is reflected in their impeccably clean and well-stocked rooms. The staff's incredible local knowledge and genuine care for their guests' needs made our stay an unforgettable experience. When we realized we had forgotten our beach towels, the team at Pension Bicuar graciously lent us some, turning what could have been an inconvenience into a non-issue. The hotel's prime location puts everything you need within easy reach. Our third-floor room offered a lovely vantage point from which to enjoy the surroundings. As we approach our eighth and final night here, I can't help but feel a pang of sadness at the thought of leaving this delightful haven. In conclusion, our stay at Pension Bicuar has been nothing short of extraordinary. The exceptional hospitality, pristine accommodations, and convenient location have made this trip an absolute pleasure. I cannot recommend Pension Bicuar highly enough, and I eagerly look forward to returning next year. Thank you, Raquel, Harma, and the entire team for making our stay so memorable! Great hotel and customer service. Option to leave luggage which was handy. Place was very close and great location, close to marina, bars, restaurants and shops. 3 min walk to the local supermarket. Kitchen was handy and kept very clean. Terrace was great, great for catching the sun and a lovely view.

The location was brilliant, everything in walkable distance. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The rooftop area is lovely, I would definitely recommend and would stay here again.

Cansa, Speaks perfect English and is very personable, Kind and considerate. Nothing phases her.
