Beds are solid,i woke up in agony,bar staff seem to charge what they want to make an odd euro or 2.One day it was €2.90 for small beer next day it was €5,The bar is well more expensive than the pool bar aswell.The worst is how clean,opened bathroom cupboard last day and found this i will post the pics,it is pretty disgusting tbf also *Blood* on bin.wont ever go 3star again should be 1star.Drilling and hedgecutting at 7-8am aswell as there is work goin on somewere.i dont normally write reviews but hopefully other people dont make same mistake.

Excellent service. Nice and peaceful hotel. 2 pools which were well maintained. Small cafe within the hotel which was nice and not too expensive. Rooms and hotel very clean and nice. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Bar/lounge area within the hotel too which was nice.

I recently stayed at this hotel in Albufeira, it was a great experience all round. The hotel staff were lovely and very helpful 😊. The rooms were good and cleaned well. Everything you needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. I would definitely return and recommend it to other 👍

This hotel is lovely. The rooms are just what you need with adequate facilities with a fridge in the rooms (which is helpful) The staff are lovely. I had a bit of an experience here as i was in the shower and i slipped and fell. It could have been so much worse than it was, but the staff came quickly to help and the lady came with an anti slip mat immediately and fixed the bathroom up. It was when i was fetched a bag of ice for my elbow (nasty and swollen) that i noticed the diamond in my ring was missing!!! I was heartbroken...... however my faith in humanity was restored when we got a call to reception, the lovely lady who was looking after our room had found my diamond. To anyone looking at this hotel i would say its a little further out than some may like but it was super peaceful and the uber app was fab, bus information is held at reception and they are only too willing to help you. The Aqua winged magpies are lovely too

Our stay at Balaia Mar could not be faulted, we thoroughly enjoyed our first stay in Portugal and will definitely return to Balaia. It holds a special place in our hearts as we got engaged here. Upon our late arrival we were greeted by a very friendly gentleman who we unfortunately didn’t get the name of, but he was thorough in explaining to us how the hotel worked and walked us up to our room, returning without fuss when we had problems figuring out the aircon. Other reception staff were kind also throughout our stay, offering to book us a taxi and leave our suitcases with them until our transfer. Our room was spacious and overlooked the pool, surrounded by beautiful trees abundant with birds who we enjoyed seeing on our balcony for the whole trip. The room came with all of the amenities we required and was very comfortable. We were fortunate to stay at a quiet time and had the smaller pool to ourselves each morning for a swim and sunbathe. There was also easy access to Praia Maria Luisa so we could go to the beach when we pleased. When visiting the hotel restaurant we were lucky enough to be served by Volodymyr who always showed us a friendly smile and had great banter, he went above and beyond to provide us great service, allowing us to grab some breakfast after closing one morning and telling us about some nice places to visit, a top guy. Other restaurant staff were friendly and attentive to our needs also. Overall we had a brilliant stay and will definitely return here, I cannot think of anywhere else we would like to stay more in Portugal than here. Thank you so much!

Discussing , infested with ants and flies . Do not stay here . We had to change rooms after being handed cans off bug spray when complained . Also in the middle off nowhere , very run down n dirty. Pool areas were clean and house keeping were nice and aware off the fliesproblem
