Great valley view & hotel facilities. Rooms were clean & tidy. Should improve in room dining & as well as service at the restaurant.

We felt amazing at the property as this was indeed beautiful and located on hill....the view from the property is superb and breathtaking.

As for the management, the government is keeping tabs on foreigners asking for all the documents for legally entering the country. It’s really hostile for management to act like immigration officers. And then bothering again and again because they made a mistake in filing some government intimations forms about a foreigner being here. No other hotel system in other states have bothered me about my documents even after I entered this country legally. They placed us in a corner and forgot about us. Room service only showed up after 3rd day, room cleaning. Overall, this place is just a fancy looking place with poor services. FYI their food was horrible, it tasted like rubbish, weird blend of spices that didn’t even felt like Indian food. I ordered Gobi Manchurian and some fries that arrived cold. Outside food is not allowed, so I had to walk a quarter of a km away in the cold so be prepared. 4 star resort with 2 star service.

Positives - Comfortable beds. Nice views. Excellent dinner and breakfast. Negatives - Wifi didn’t work. Service was painfully slow.

Hotel location is good......Common areas are well maintained however the rooms are not as reflected in photograph on the website....Restaurant is not well managed although the staff is good but I feel there is a lot of scope for improvement. ...Buffet breakfast is good....Biryani taste was good....Food in general was good...Had to wait for more than 30 minutes for the hotel staff to transfer my luggage from room during checkout.....There was a lot of difference between the price as mentioned on trip.com and directly with hotel.....Trip.com was less for the same Privilege Suite....

Sterling Ooty Elk Hill in Ooty is a beautiful hotel covering a large area and the hotel has truly redefined luxury stay at an affordable price. The process from Check-In to Check-Out is very smooth and the stuffs of the hotel everywhere took special care of everything that a tourists might need. Reception desk is awesome - always coming forward to help you, room service was excellent, stuffs at food court took special care so that we do have the best of the food experiences. Divyasree, Mahadev, Sweta and Surinder ji are some of the stuffs who helped us a lot throughout the duration of our stay. We stayed for in a Family room which has got two rooms, one living room and one private balcony. The room we had been given has all the amenities for a comfortable stay. The service of the hotel is unparalleled - they hardly took more than 5 minutes to serve this. Even every evening they called up asking whether we are enjoying our stay or not, whether there is any issue they need to fix - such a gesture of taking care of the tourists, we have never found anywhere else. The hotel has a kids play area where children could spend some quality time. They have indoor play area at the basement where you have options to play Table Tennis. Even they have indoor photolabs where you can take photographs with your loved ones and can create memories. They have a dedicated Travel desk - always ready to help you with sight seeing, pickup and drop. Travel desk is doing an excellent job there. Next comes food - you will have lots of options starting from breakfast, to lunch and dinner. The food is very delicious and sufficient quantity wise and affordable price wise. We loved it thoroughly. All the stuffs at every corner of the hotel are very polite, cooperative - helping us to feel at-home. I will come back to Ooty again, and will really not think of staying anywhere else other than Sterling Ooty Elk Hill.

Had a pretty good stay at Sterling Ooty Elk Hill. Booked a 2 bedroom suite with valley view and the stay was comfortable. The service was very good - responsive and fast, food was tasty too! The location is 10 min away from all the famous locations in Ooty, which is a big plus. Yet, itz secluded from the Ooty noise and provides nice views from the room and hotel. Their breakfast spread was sumptuous too! A few cons are that the interiors seem old, the TVs could have been bigger and the approach road is narrow (it's probably the case with other hotels as well) Overall, I recommend this hotel if you can book a few months in advance to get the rooms at a fair price.

The most beautifully managed Resort Roshni Ji the head of Operation is doing a fantastic job with a brilliant team of hosts and hostesses. They go beyond being employees. Thoroughly enjoyed every minute. Food was amazing service was brilliant

Sterling ELK Hill is a beautifully located property with great views and good infrastructure. The children's play area and indoor game area are well-maintained; some are free, while others require a fee. We booked a 2BHK with a balcony. Initially, we were given a room without a view. However, Mr. Jason kindly helped us secure a room with a lovely valley and city view. We are very grateful to him, as we wouldn't have enjoyed such a wonderful view otherwise. The rooms are very spacious and each bedroom has a heater. All toiletries, including dental and shaving kits, are provided. The housekeeping service provided by Soniya Srikantha was excellent. The morning breakfast and service provided by the restaurant team were also excellent. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay.

Located at top of the hill, offering u a wonderful and breathtaking view, especially in the morning during sunrise of the whole ooty city . Make sure you have rooms that offer the view of the city and not garden view. Ask for fan if you are of those kind who feel stuffy in the room as there are no ceiling fans and heaters tend to make the room stuffy. Rooms with 2 bedrooms and balcony are usually the ones facing directly towards the city. Wherein you can easily have a birds eye view of the race course,ooty bus stand,gem park, ooty lake. Fern hill. The church and much more. Some fabulous views await at the time of dawn. We had a good stay and were happy with our in room dining experience, the games with all the other guests ***** with bonfire and DJ music. Thank you to all the staff who have been of immense help and been there round the clock to take good care of us. Ms. Divyashree from Guest Relations for providing us with a lovely room. Good resort. Had a wonderful stay. Family and child's friendly resort. Childerns will enjoy the play area. Adults had various activities like indoor and outdoor games to enjoy the stay Variety of food options available to enjoy the food..
