Marriott's Lakeshore Reserve

We just returned from a 5-night stay in a 2 bedroom townhouse. We have two small kids and the property was perfect. We LOVED the pool, the activities and staff (especially Monique and JD), the fully equipped rooms, the lush landscape, access to JW and Ritz, and of course the sunshine! Everything just felt very easy. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a fun getaway that doesn’t require a lot of “logistics”. The only downside was the vacation club sales presentation we attended, which was advertised by concierge Amber as a 90-minute presentation (for which we would be compensated one night of our stay). In reality, it was a sales pitch that went for more than 3.5 hours despite us asking repeatedly to be released. We went in open minded and curious about the program but discovered that the numbers (when they were finally presented more than 2 hours into the “90-minute presentation”) simply do not make sense for our situation. The rep egregiously disrespected our time and our decision, ultimately giving us more and more conviction that the Marriott Vacation Club is not something we want to be part of. #1 tip for staying here is to avoid the sales at all costs. Stick to the fun stuff!

Last trip pre Covid. Won't return until things improve. Manager takes days to respond. No pool food service & pool boy does nothing & rarely there.. Cleaners didn't reset previous 4am alarm . Saving grace is the lovely decor & room plans.

Excellent facilities. The pool area is pristine, and the lazy river setup provides more privacy than a standard pool. It has a European garden environment. There are slides and zero-entry areas at the pool and a playground and games all around - lots of activities for the kids, although it is a quiet setup. The poolside restaurant / bar is fabulous with a great menu. The villas are well appointed and the staff very attentive. The location is close enough to Disney for easy access, but far enough for quiet surroundings. Strong recommendation as a good base for all Orlando activities.

We love this place to stay, hard to get into as often booked up. Tried a 1 bedroom apar**ent, as we normally stay in 2 bedroom townhouse, excellent with a balcony, great friendly staff. We stayed 2 nights on Xmas eve and lots of activities on, need a car ideally to get around. Walking distance to Ritz and JW marriott. Lakeshore pools nice with water slide at side, great bar area, ool tables etc. Will definitely stay here again

amazing customer service, pools are heated and quiet, fun activities, beautiful grounds.Rooms are super outdated but I heard they were updating all rooms this year.I preferred staying here than the ritz.Its a calm vibe.Cant wait to go back! would be nice to have pool service.Also the towels situation is ridiculous having to go to front desk or your room for it.otherwise awesome stay

The resort is absolutely beautiful. CESAR at the front desk was very helpful at check-in. We had a small Maintenance issue that was resolved immediately. EDWIN from Maintenance was exceptional. Very courteous and professional. Wonderful staff!!

This is best of the best Marriott has to offer. I really didn't expect a whole lot, this was an over night stay. Henry and Olivia checked me in. I made a couple request and it wasn't a problem at all. The grounds are immaculate, probably one of the nicest places regarding landscape I've ever been too. It's kin to a garden paradise, and everything is trimmed and perfect. The pool area is vast and there's a water slide that's even fun for me, an adult kid, lol. The bar/restaurant couldn't have been better. The staff, Spencer and Christian were over the top accommodating and the food is outstanding. I can not give this hotel enough praise. This place should be the Marriott standard. Well done, bravo. Will be back

Very nice resort. The onsite restaurant had decent food and there were other options next door at the Marriott. The gym was well equiped. The pool and grounds are spectacular, and we spent most of our time there. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Great 4 night trip !

Nice resort. Not too noisy, enjoyable 'lazy river', adequate shade for those of us that 'burn don't tan'. A short walk to two excellent properties for bar/restaurant options, as well as a good spot on property for burgers/etc. Excellent spa at the neighboring Ritz. Villas are comfortable and well equipped. We've been going there for a number of years. Only complaint is that they have modified the outdoor 'grills' into 'outdoor ovens'. Can't really call them BBQ grills anymore as they have a huge metal plate over the burners so there is no 'searing' or flame marks. On our last visit there we did our steaks in the unit, using their pan to sear, then into the oven to finish. Disappointing, as we always plan our meals around using the BBQ, and that they have ruined that aspect. At Crystal Shores this week, and they have preserved (so far) their BBQ grills as actual BBQ grills.
