Room was extremely small, couldn't really fit my suitcase in it, I had to keep it in bathroom. It was manageable though, but it was very nosey, the rooms don't appear to be sound proofed I heard banging and other noises throughout my stay which was quite annoying.

Great location, small room but all we needed. I booked based on the previous comments regarding the breakfast and it was great. 5 star. Only point i would make is there is a sizable fee to take food from breakfast which we were not made aware. To limit any confusion with any other guests please highlight this fee within the breakfast room.

A lovely hotel situated close to the train station and the centre of town. Easy walk to the Christmas market. The room was small but comfortable. The breakfast was lovely. The staff were friendly. Highly recommend this hotel.

For the price, location, and HUGE free breakfast spread, Thon Hotel Astoria can’t be beat! I was a solo traveler on a budget, so the smaller no-frills room suited me as I spent most of the night exploring Oslo. I will say the smallest room offered is quite a tight squeeze, especially the bathroom, but it worked for one night. The larger of the single rooms was perfect. The hotel is about a 4 minute walk from the Oslo central train station and is right off of the Main Street of shopping and food. Also, the free breakfast is pretty amazing! I’d recommend!

An incredibly small room, and a tiny, tiny bathroom. But very clean and convenient location. The breakfast was amazing - best breakfast buffet I've had yet in Norway.

Nice clean room with a comfortable bed. Had to leave early the next morning and they prepared me a nice breakfast package

A great short stay for our party of 3, super clean, cozy and comfortable rooms! Comfortable beds, linens, pillows and comforters. We really enjoyed it!

very pleasant hotel. great breakfast. although i knew I was getting a small room- but the bathroom was so small and poorly designed that using the toilet took some awkward maneuvering and opening the shower door made me have to step out out of the room altogether to squeeze in and to watch the whole floor flooded as the drain position was not properly installed. construction next door starting at 6am was not pleasant either.

Everything is perfect. The location: Just 300 to 400m from Oslo station with the train to the airport in 20 minutes. The staffs, Too nice, friendly and helpful. They allowed me check-in at 10am instead of 3 pm as my room was available when I came in. The cleanness, Very clean and tidy even with a beautifull umbrella for rainy weather. Breakfast, Delicious. It was the best I had among too many hotels I had opportunity to stay. If I have a chance to come back to Oslo I never hesitate to choose Thon Astera again.
