This fine hotel was highly recommended- coming from an Alsatian couple. It did not disappoint- friendly reception staff, a spacious well appointed suite with comforable king size bed, during a hot time of the year the shutters & easily controllable aircon were extremely welcome. The family running the hotel make every effort to meet guests sharing their local knowledge & advice with an easy smile. Thw owner's daughter passing from table to table to ensure guests are having an enjoyable stay & good experience The refurbished dining area is a wonderful setting for both the extensive breakfast buffet & the wonderful set evening meal which was of excellent quality. The charming maitre'd was a delight- serving with a smile & wonderful French humour. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed our 4 night stay, though the beginning and the end were very poor - see below. Hotel in good position. Quiet. Plenty of parking. Very good pools at spa for different types of experience. Housekeeping very good. Breakfast outstanding. Dinners very good with generally friendly and efficient service, particularly from the older maitre D. Good wine list. Our reception (from a young lady) was dismal. Almost surly. No information. Talked far too fast and showed us to a dark, miserable room, despite having booked top of the range. We insisted on a move to a room over the spa, which was very nice with a good outlook; There were clearly plenty of these rooms available. And on the last evening the older maitre D was off. A younger man took his place. Very full of himself, but utterly useless. Hardly listened to our order, spilled the wine and dropped the lamb on the floor!

Ideal hotel for anyone looking to relax in beautiful Alsace countryside. It’s close to Obernai, close to local mountain paths and numerous vineyards. The hotel amenities are superb: spa, pools, saunas, jacuzzi. The staff at reception and the restaurant is very nice and helpful.

Had the most amazing time at Hostellerie des Chateaux with my husband. Had chosen this place to celebrate my birthday. We got a room with a beautiful view into the village and the horizon. Though charged extra they were able to arrange a bouquet, a cake to make my birthday special. The service during breakfast and especially dinner was outstanding. The staff showed great attention to detail and truly made us feel welcome. Where do I start about the food?! Each day indeed was a gastronomical treat with a 4-5 course meal ranging from the most simple to complex flavours all blending in beautifully.They were so kind to accomodate my request to make a few dishes vegetarian too. We also took full advantage of the spa there which was indeed a great attraction with a lot of sauna rooms, hamama, indoor heated pools with dynamic waterjets. We felt so relaxed after this weekend and hope to make it a ritual to go here every year.

A real disappointment! The food, for the area, is well below standard. None of the employees will try to help you if you’re in need of a service, and their attitude is despicable. Do bring your own shampoo, ironing table etc, as none are available. Way overpriced, simply skip this place and go somewhere else!

Nous avons passés deux jours formidables, deux jours de détente. Le spa est très grand, il y en a pour tous les goûts. La piscine extérieure avec son jardin est très bien. On s'est cru en vacances. Le petit plus, un petit cocktail dégusté au bord de l'eau, le serveur aux petits soins. Le spa est très grand, il y a des ambiances différentes, toutes très agréables. On a pas eu cette impression d'avoir beaucoup de monde autour de nous. Le soir nous avons dégusté un menu raffiné tout à fait à notre goût. Avec les conseils du Sommelier, nous avons dégusté de très bons vin. Le service était parfait. Nous avions réservé une suite et avons eu la chance d'être surclassé. On a profité du jacuzzi et du sauna en attendant le déjeuner. Avant de partir, on a réservé une journée déjeuner spa.
