I stayed here three separate times during visits to Palermo in the months of February and March...cannot say enough good things about this property! As you walk in, you are greeted by the friendliest of staff; a snack and water are immediately offered. The rooms are fabulous (my favorite is the attic...it has a skywindow that opens or can be completely blacked out with blinds) and the beds are extremely luxurious with a memory foam topper. Breakfast is also a treat...wonderful service and foods that will fit both sweet and savory tastes; don't miss the fried eggs to order! Overall, an oasis in the bustling energy of Palermo!

We had a wonderful time at Il Giardino di Ballaro. Aurora and Daniela helped us to find out way around Palermo with our two girls providing great tips which palaces to visit and good restaurant recommendations, also taking care of the booking. Everything was within walking distance. The beautiful B&B with lots of art was the perfect tranquil place after strolling around busy Palermo.

This is a brilliant place to rest your head for a few days if you are vising Palermo. Even before we arrived the help that the girls at Il Giardino offered was invaluable; happy to arrange taxi collection from the airport, good information about the best rooms for our party and very timely with their replies, nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Once we arrived, this was borne out and a very warm welcome greeted us on our arrival. The following morning there was plenty of help with maps and information to orientate us with the city, together with a list of local restaurants, all with details of the walking distance to each. The attention to detail is beyond expectation, which makes a stay here so very special. The location of Il Giardino is great, being in the older part of the city, and therefore central to give access to many of the sites you are sure to want to visit, all within walking distance. Our rooms, which were on the first floor, were stylish, large and well appointed with good sized en-suite shower rooms. Comfortable beds, plenty of pillows, towels and warm blankets. The reception area of this gorgeous and characterful abode is spacious and there are plenty of local artisan works on display, which are available to purchase if you like. There is a large glass covered area in the centre of the room, showcasing relics of times gone by and the pretty courtyard garden, off the breakfast room, is a quiet spot to capture the sun before it sets for the day. Breakfast is plentiful and cooked eggs are offered too, if liked. There are also other good touches, such as pastries and water available throughout the day in the main reception area, which are provided without additional charge. Aurora and Danielle, who looked after us during our stay, were convivial, friendly and very happy to help with any queries we had. The thoughtful touch of bringing a small pastry with a candle, and singing Happy Birthday (!) on the morning of my friends' birthday, made it such a special visit, and you feel that the girls have a genuine interest in their guests and their stay. I would highly recommend staying at Il Giardino di Ballaro and if we return to Palermo we will definitely return to this wonderful B&B.

This is one of the best places I have stayed. The location was excellent only a short walk to bars, restaurants, shops and attractions. Aurora, Daniella, Donna and Paulo made it such a memorable stay. Their kindness and attention to detail was exceptional. The breakfast was 10 out of 10. It was like staying in someone's home, they couldn't have been more welcoming. They recommend and booked restaurants for us and catered to our every need. I can't thank them enough. They even made me a birthday cake. I would definitely stay here again.

Very friendly and welcoming hotel. Relaxing public space and great breakfast (particularly the double espresso!)Good with dogs and close to the historic centre. The staff incredibly helpful with recommendations. Highly recommend and hope to stay there again!

Wow!!! What a place. An absolutely stunning find. The location was perfect, so near to the centre and the main visits. Aurora and the team were brilliant. Their service and attention to detail was excellent. We would go back in an instant. 10/10.

We had a wonderful stay at Il Giardino di Ballaro! As many have noted, the staff is amazing and helped our family of 12 book reservations, tours, and anything else we needed while we were there. The breakfasts were wonderful, the space inviting, and the rooms were private and well appointed. I would recommend staying here to anyone visiting Palermo!

We took the wise decision to book a taxi from the airport into Palermo, rather than hiring a car. I feel we would still (as I write this in December) be trying to find this wonderful little accommodation gem!. Situated perfectly for visiting any of Palermo's many attractions, Il Giardini di Ballero is a welcoming oasis of calm in the midst of a bustling city. Great service by Airora and her colleagues who dealt with our questions and provide perfect recommendations for places to visit and restuarants to dine, as well as booking taxis/restaurants.. Our room was at the top of the house and though small was beautifully furnished and comfortable with access to the roof-top area, Excellent breakfasting lounge at the rear of the hotel and an excellent choice of quality food.
