Really a disappointment for the price they charge. The place has a vibe of a discount 3* hotel and not the 5* resort they are claiming to be. It's all-inclusive but the quality of the food is quite low. The meat and fish at the buffet often looked old and tired and tasted accordingly. I'm not picky but even I often had trouble finding something at the buffet I could eat that wasn't junk food. The restaurants that require a reservation are not much better. The staff are nice enough but not very effective: for example, there is often a long line to get seated at the buffet for no good reason. Probably chasing tips, the staff are busy serving drinks - something that the patrons could easily get themselves - instead of turning over tables. Even though it's "all inclusive", the tipping culture is pervasive: tip boxes are everywhere and there seems to be an expectation of a tip for every single interaction with the staff. For any requests or issues with the room, multiple calls have to be made, the first call is always ignored. Air conditioning was not working at the gym regardless of how many requests were made to fix it. As far as I know, a large portion of the guests are there on a timeshare, so they have no choice. That would explain the complacency.
