ウガ ベイ(Uga Bay by Uga Escapes Colombo)

A very good hotel. Directly on the beach. It has its own protection. Food a bit monotonous, served to the tables by friendly staff. Very loud air conditioning broke the impression, but despite attempts to repair it was still loud. Prices are very high for Sri Lankan conditions.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Uga Bay, Pasikuda. We have stayed at this hotel in the past, and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area. The layout of the hotel and facilities is convenient as well as maintaining guests’ privacy. The grounds are stunning, with views over palm trees, looking out to sea. We received such a warm and friendly welcome at reception upon arrival, and this continued for the duration of our stay. Nimali, Nuwan, Dulan and the rest of the team are friendly and helpful - they go above and beyond in assisting guests. The food is delicious - the best in the bay! Chefs Lakmal and Sajeeva were upbeat and friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed, whether or not the item was on the menu! Restaurant manager Ramini and her team, including Kavinda and Nissanka, always greeted us warmly and were keen to make sure we had a wonderful meal. And Anura and his team at the bar were excellent! They always made us feel well-looked-after, and were knowledgeable about the local area and other good places to visit. We want to say a big thank you to General Manager Niranjan: we will definitely be staying here again on our next visit to this beautiful area!

Beautiful hotel. The location is breathtaking, right on the bay with direct view of white sand and blue ocean. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. They were professional but warm and welcoming. Every request was met with a smile and a prompt response. Thank you Manoj and the team. Amazing food. An extensive menu with delicious seafood items. The highlight was the full series of Hoppers made for us by Chef Chandika. It was very special. Uga Bay is a destination I'll cherish and return to.

Amazing time with very friendly smiley staff. They can’t do enough for you. Husband mushroom allergy chef checked in with him every day on what he could eat. Or made it fresh. Beautiful beach and a calm sea that you could walk out. Food was lovely with plenty of choice and variety.

This is our second stay here and it is amazing as always! The staff was excellent and attending to all the guests, also very pleasant, and keen to serve their home made special food every time. They are so delicious as well. Keep up the good work guys! We will visit definitely again ❤️ Further the views, the atmosphere is breathtaking.

We had a great stay at Uga Bay. The food is amazing.The staff is very friendly. You get the best holiday experience with delicious food and amazing views. The signature food is their own style ice creams in variety of flavours. Kids absolutely loved the food

My experience at Uga Bay was a mix of highs and lows. On a positive note, I give a seven-star rating to all the chefs and service staff for their exceptional friendliness and helpfulness. They truly went above and beyond, making our stay delightful in many ways. However, I was deeply dissatisfied with the driver accommodation provided, which was substandard and unwelcoming. Moreover, the handling of this situation by the general manager was disconcerting; their indifference and lack of an apology were not what I expected from a place of this reputation. They did offer a new place but conveyed it as the only solution available, which was disheartening. If you're considering staying here and you'll have a driver with you, I advise you to verify the accommodations they'll receive beforehand to ensure they're treated with the same care and respect as all guests.

During our second visit, we chose to return based on the exceptional service we've received previously. However, this stay revealed a significant concern that needs immediate attention. We inquired about accommodations for our driver, assured by the staff that such arrangements were available. Unfortunately, the reality was far from acceptable. The driver's accommodations were extremely disappointing; not only were the washrooms in a deplorable condition, emitting unpleasant odors, but the rooms were also shared, which was unexpected and unsatisfactory. We hope this feedback prompts a reevaluation of these accommodations, as it significantly impacts the overall experience for guests who rely on their drivers during their stay.
