マリー ハウス(Mary House 46)

I've stayed at many hotels and B&B's in the UK and abroad, but this was bad ! Other reviews say how great it is, where were they staying ???? First greeted with a tired outside and a frontage full of weeds and a cigarette pot ! Parking is a nightmare. Room was very bland and sad, bed linen was clean, but definitely needs a new mattress, could feel springs. Curtains were dirty, carpet dirty and stained. Bathroom not great, shower filthy, sink stained, towels seen better days ! Tv totally in the wrong place. Breakfast, listed as Continental, which consisted of a few pots of yoghurt,toast and cereal, to me, not a Continental! Toaster had seen better days, no serviettes. BAD !! The one good thing, staff were pleasant.

This is a reasonably priced BnB in an excellent location. Was clean and tidy throughout. The building is old and showing expected signs of repair. Good choice of self serve continental breakfast items and staff helpful in catering for my dietary needs in advance. Check in process was easy. Some on street parking but a large car park to the rear if required (charges apply) . 2 minutes walk from the sea and lovely high street.

Expensive for what you expect from a bed and breakfast. Room adequate and bed comfortable although the sheets were a poor fit. The continental breakfast was alright with a good choice of bread and cereals. Disappointed with the lack of cooked breakfast and lack of parking. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Crisp white sheets, a comfy bed and a newly refurbished bathroom. Perfect central location near the town and beach. We didn't eat the breakfast as we prefer a cooked breakfast when we're away and found a cafe a few steps away. Only negative was the lack of parking but we will be back.

Facilities are basic but we knew this when booking, the cost for a nights stay was very reasonable, the hotel was clean and comfortable, and the self serve breakfast was more than adequate, over all a very pleasant and reasonably priced stay

Had a great stay host was very welcoming and friendly, informed us about everything we needed to know and said she was available for any help needed. The room was large and the bed was comfy, only thing was the bathroom was a bit small mainly the toilet as it's position was a bit tight for a 6ft4 guy, the shower was great. The continental breakfast was good and the house was close to the shore front.

Lovely clean room .fab beds and very very pleasant and helpfull host. Very close to the sea front and the town east to walk to both. Nice continental breakfast with a easy help your self no rush time . Would definitely recommend to anyone. Thank you

What can I say what a wonderful host in Emma. The bed and Breakfast is situated in a prime spot. It’s totally undervalued financially. I had the cleanest most sublime room. Emma couldn’t be more helpful. She knows porthcawl inside and Out she’s born there. I cannot recommend this bed and breakfast enough also as a solo traveller it gets 20 out of 10 for me. Can’t wait to return.🙌🏻💖

Room not great, dirty carpet, dirty shower and walls have dirty marks all over them. Very boring room, no mirror or any pictures on the dirty bare walls. Unfortunately wouldn’t visit again. Bathroom tiny with taps that don’t even fit the sink.
